Canadian Grand Prix 2011, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve - Race 7/19

I was sat kind of in a legs under me scrunched up position, Vettel went wide, Button passed and my head bounced off the roof.

I cannot repeat this jump, only awesome results from British drivers can make my body do it.

It's pretty funny to look back on it now, but watching that happen live I was so angry. You could just tell when he looked up at the car after falling over that fear had completely gripped his legs and down he goes again.. unbelievable.

38hours of motorsport, other than 4-5hrs snooze early morning.

Wow watching that marshal again, it's even closer than it looked in the race.

I laughed when the marshall fell over and did a crazy dive but just went down instead of jump to the grass. I'm still laughing. Good race all round despite the delays.

Yes, hilarious. The last time that happened, the marshall died when hit by a car. So did the driver of said car when the marshalls fire extinguisher hit him in the head and decapitated him.

haha I went absolutely nuts, Jumped up off the sofa when he passed vettel and then almost fell back down and squashed my cat!!! Then jumped around shouting at the top of my voice. Just brilliant. What a drive!!!

As exciting as that was I can't help but feel that we are going to be robbed of the result whilst we sleep.

BIG mistake by Mclaren to tell Lewis to retire considering it was only the wheel/tyre that was damaged.

They could have had a 1-2 here or at least 2 on the podium.

Good job he had drive shaft damage then. Would never have made it to the end.

Vettel said, along the lines of, imagine having candy taken away from your grasp whereas I think it was more giving candy away. Says his mindset right there.

So overall then?

We all spent about 3 hours deriding the FIA, the drivers, Charlie Whiting etc. etc. because nothing was going on but then when it did get going - it was pretty bloody good.

I'm confused :p

Haha pretty much, the worry for me is the superb ending to this race will gloss over the fact something needs to be done about the amount these cars can run in the wet.

40inch tyres to give ground clearance in the wet is my bet ;)
