Canadian Grand Prix 2011, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve - Race 7/19

Haha pretty much, the worry for me is the superb ending to this race will gloss over the fact something needs to be done about the amount these cars can run in the wet.

40inch tyres to give ground clearance in the wet is my bet ;)

Indeed, it was a good end to the day but the fact they ran with a safety car to the point they pretty much immediately pitted and put on inters was beyond ridiculous.

The safety is being taken too far if it's considered too dangerous to race in conditions requiring anything more than inters. What's the point in having wet tyres if they're not even allowed to race on them?

We had an equal number of successful and unsuccessful challenges into that chicane using the DRS.. it seemed pretty well planned to me.

 where you watching a different race, other than webber outbreaking himself twice. It was a clear pass before the corner.

Mainly due to poor traction from the leading car out of the hairpin rather than the DRS itself. The only time it was truly push to pass was Webber on Schumacher, in which he did close colossally fast.

It made a good contribution to the excitement in my eyes.

They need to limit the amount of Drag reduction they are allowed, it robbed Schumi of a podium.

i dont get how people like DRS..

imagine if instead of reduction it was a flap that poped up on the car infront reducing the top speed by around 12KMH it would be the exact same effect but people would be calling BS.

i dont mind kers its your choice where you use it but DRS is a joke it turns a driver whos crap at overtaking into a overtake master

As exciting as that was I can't help but feel that we are going to be robbed of the result whilst we sleep.

I'm trying to keep a lid on my enthusiasm over JB winning the race for that very reason. Trying, and failing because it was just too much fun watching him pressure Vettel into skating wide :)

It was a shame IMO that Schumacher couldn't hold Webber back for the final podium spot. Combination of the Merc tyre-eating problems and a slightly over-effective DRS zone put paid to that one though.
