I think the tyre hit the ground and caused it to swing. They then looked to munch the diffuser into the ground while it was swinging.

Those marshalls need to learn how to drive the machinery properly.

Looked to me like he let the clutch out rather retardedly. Nearly wiping the marshalls out then slamming the car back down! :\
