Honestly the WIlliams are so far back lately I can't remember, what is that car like off the grid, fast/slow/terrible/normal?
Not completely convinced Hamilton was going to nab pole before the very slight lock into the final chicane, Vettel was up on his previous time aswell until the final sector looked like it would be pretty close though. Wouldn't mind seeing some replays of Button coming in for the final few corners, around the hairpin was it, or maybe the corner before he was right behind the guy infront, coming over the line there was a massive gap ahead of him, had he held up by someone then got past them, or backed off to make a gap and went too far? Either way pretty silly, the red flag rules need looking at though, sticking on 30 seconds extra, or realistically for me, sticking in an extra out laps worth of time + 30 seconds is only fair, because anyone on the track loses the time on an extra outlap, and even then those who get backed up by the guys infront making space its just daft. Someone HAS to be last in that queue and its simply not fair IMHO and no reason they can't add on a couple minutes....
Probably worth mentioning that once again the gap when Hamilton out qualifys Rosberg is far bigger than the gaps when its been the other way around, from the last race I think I said it was 0.4seconds was the biggest gap for Rosberg and the smallest for Hamilton, but the other times Rosberg has beaten Hamilton its been by 0.1/0.2 seconds, very very close. Also laughable in practice that Herbert was banging on about Merc being the "best" car now, not the fastest in quali, but the best overall car.... because of one win in Monaco where the Merc's led everyone in a 2 hour conga line? Merc is the fastest car outright over one lap, almost certainly(its possible not and that the other cars set up purely for one lap might be faster), but over a race distance its at best fourth fastest and it hasn't even been close to good enough on race day. Best car... lol.. Its WAY improved on last year both race and qualifying, but its still not a patch on the race pace of Ferrari, RBR or Lotus.
