Cancel Netflix? Price increase again

Couldn’t say for sure. I had to use a specific VPN provider (which was free at the time) to sign up and pay using TRL. It was quite a while ago and the subscription is still in place.

I used weVpn. Cleared all internet settings and opened a private window.
How does it work with your card though? As I remember I tried the TRL trick last year and it would not let me sign up because I was using a UK card. Ended up paying the full £11.99/m

Would definitely like to lower the current £13.99/m charge if possible.

Just got the price update email. Anyone else thinking about cancelling? 170 quid per year now.

Seems most of the new shows are not for my taste and only looking forward to the Witcher, Lost in space and stranger things.

I have do pay for Prime, and also Disney+ and with the launching of Star it seems fantastic value.

I do have 3 daughters so I'm playing with fire even thinking about it lol.
Not worth it, nothing decent or new is getting release on Netflix lately, but I find that to be the case for all three, Disney is still ok if you want to watch old disney stuff and every few months you do get a new Disney movie.

Give them some time when they see more cancelations and start loosing to Disney they will re think the price increase.

I only ever watch Netflix when I round other peoples homes and it really doesn't appeal to me.
Most of it is junk, and the stuff I would watch is the stuff I've already watched more the twice before.

They'll be second place to Disney+ by the end of this year I reckon. D+ blew through 100m subscribers in just over a year. Netflix have taken much, much longer and think of all the content Netflix did have that has now been taken back by the rights owners.

That's the issue other then netfix own stuff nothing stays on long only its something they got on a budget so the library is not very big compared to disney+ and even amazon.

Netflix would have been a straight up cancel only for there is 4 females in my house even at the lower price point. Only thing I'm enjoying ATM is season 3 of Ash vs evil dead which I have already watched.

It has to be an account that's already been live and has an active card. Won't work on new set ups. Having a phone number linked to the account also might be a problem.
Cancel>VPN turkey>private web> reactivate without updating payment.
I did get asked to enter a phone number after I reactivated the account but I just hit the small X's.

Don't think so, definitely not what we were told but this was by phone though

From previous experience, you can't trust anything they say and so you need to have them confirm the deal by email so you have a record of it, which
you can provide should a problem arise.

If you try to sign up for Netflix as part of a Sky TV package it specifically says it’s on a monthly basis and so can be cancelled at any point.

I can't see that happening, Disney had the luxury of having so much content already that they're now unlikely to dish out any viewing rights to other platforms. Netflix will either a) need to pay other studios hefty fees for licence to their content, or b) start producing more worthy netflix original content where they don't need to pay licence fees for - both options still require lots of money and won't be fulfilled by reducing the subscription fees.

Ideally Netflix should (or should have) purchase(d) a big studio.
