Cancel Netflix? Price increase again

I'm happy on the £6pm. Though whenever i look at Prime it looks poor in comparison. I rarely bother with the series as i never like them. Though mentioned above, Sweet Home was really enjoyable.

I find myself watching a movie over 2 or 3 sittings, so i get good value i find :p

If the £6pm package ever goes up i'll either go VPN or just not bother. Not really that fussed.

Just cancelled

Has to be an existing UK account to save all the hassle of signing up with a UK bank card.

I use my UK debit card, which was linked to my account. There are a couple of bank charges for foreign currency conversion which takes it over £5/month.

I used a chrome browser extension instead of installing a VPN client. I use NordVPN which doesn't work.

There are posts on HUKD with steps and cheapest regions.
I might try this when my sub finishes. Do you need a VPN on the devices to watch Netflix after the payment has been taken?

Some of you are so tight, its a couple £, not going to break the bank is it.

Well it gets to a point where it is no longer value for money. It doesn't take long to run out of things to watch on Netflix. Don't forget that a lot of people will also be paying for Tv Licence / Sky / Prime / disney etc.

It soon adds up.

No, what you have available is based on your geolocation when you watch. So you'll just get the uk selection.

Do you have to let the sub lapse then?

We have so many people using our Netflix that i'm not sure i can deal with the hassle if there's a day of downtime, but £14 a month stings a little.

Couldn’t say for sure. My subscription had lapsed at the time I signed up using the Turkish connection.

ah i guess so yeah, we cancelled our tv service with virgin so we don’t have that added expense anymore.

I sub once or twice a year and watch the 3-4 shows I'm actually interested in, I don't watch enough TV for it to be worth a year long sub, and even if I did there's not enough content I enjoy.

Me Too!

I paid for the lowest tier as I heard of the latest deal, they give me free HD upgrade for 30 days and I watch 3 shows I cannot find anywhere (cough) as they are Non Eng but dubbed in Eng, then I cancel it.

Well I got home from work yesterday to house full of screaming women and girl's as Netflix sub ran out.

Fired up a VPN and tried the Turkish trick this morning and seems to be working. Not sure if they will reverse the transaction.

I would cancel as I’m not watching anything right now, but my 5 year old loves the kids shows on there. We have prime but the selection is no where near as good, I many have it for the delivery. We don’t have a TV license so streaming is our only source of TV.

Well yeah, but I don't see why that warranted a £2 increase, I certainly won't pay it, which is why I dropped to HD, it would be great if netflix offered a 4k package with less screens.
Yeah 4K on 1/2 screens for £8 would be ideal.

Only me watching it and paying for 4 screens is a waste.

So, anyone checked out those SKY TV prices inc the fees for a TV License?

Personally I'm happy to pay for the HD since the 4k content is usually consumed way to quickly to justify the cost.

What did you use to get round the text message verification part when signing up?

If you have sky you can get it for £5 per month and link your existing account.

Unfortunately for me I need the multi-screening option (kids) so I have to take the higher package. Sky, at time I checked last, don't have the option to upgrade beyond the single screen option.

What it needs is an enterprising company to go to all the streaming services and lump them in one cost. One Subscription fee for access to all the major players, audio and video (Althought we all know Apple would never play ball)

£50/ month for UHD, multi-user access. Netflix, Prime, Disney+, NowTV & Spotify.

I'd pay it in a heartbeat and drop Sky out of the equation (as the channels we actually watch are in NowTV)

App?

Don’t you mean website. I don’t think you can sign up via an app?
Yeah the web page. I just picked my package hit reactivate then that phone number popup appeared. I just closed it without entering any details.

I believe it only works if you are reactivating an expired account with the same same card that's been stored.

Bank just hit me with a 50p transaction fee. Still 5.60 odd still a lot cheaper than 14
