Canon 1DmkII (Body Only)

Types of Products Sold
(Refurbished / New)

The products sold on eBay are either classified as "new" or "refurbished" (see the beginning of this item description).

Refurbished products are 100% OK and therefore we can offer them with a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. There is nothing wrong with these products! All refurbished products are sealed with an authentic Canon seal!

We just can't sell a refurbished item as new because...

- ...it was used as demo product (at trade fairs etc.), or

- ...the outside carton box was slightly damaged during transportation (and then replaced by a neutral brown packaging), or

- ...it was sold and the box was opened. Then the item got returned to Canon.

Upon return to our facility, a product of this type is put through a full set of functional test procedures, cleaned, repaired (if needed), and refreshed with a set of in-box materials (manuals, accessories, cables...) and sealed. The packaging of the product may either be the original Canon packaging or a neutral (brown) packaging. The core product itself may (exceptionally) contain minor cosmetic blemishes. Please contact us regarding product issues before leaving negative feedback on eBay - Thank you!

Thats what it says in the link on that page so I should imagine it will come with everything that a new camera would...

Its arrived, battery on charge now, I can comfirm that it comes everything you would expect from a new camera. It also included a DC coupler which means I can get playing straight away. :D

that's an interesting price, only a few hundred more than the d200...hmmmmm :S

Im very happy with the price, considering I was prepared to pay £2400 for a 1DmkIIN and the only real improvement over the 1DmkII is the 2.5" screen, not many left on Ebay and the price is going up, the ones today have both gone for £1600+, the £800 saving ive made will go on replacing my 6x1gb extremeIII CF cards with some 4gb extremeIIIs and maybe a couple of 2gb SDs (seen as ive now got a slot to put them in).

The 8.5FPS really is impressive, now ive got to get myself some time to get to the track with it.

The weight doesnt seem to be an issue, doesnt seem much heavier then my 20D with its battery grip.

I don't know yet but the biggest advantage I see is the focussing accuracy and speed. Even with the 20's 5 FPS I've never actually managed to fill the buffer. In fact nowadays I tend to take single shots anyway rather than rattling off frames. I find the success rate, composition wise, is higher.

It can be damn useful for sport though, some times i try to take two pictures one after the other and the 2nd just misses the bit of action i intended to capture :( But you're right, the AF is the biggest improvement :)

Just to play devils advocate let's say you're shooting at 1/400th. Even at 8 FPS that's only a total of 1/50th of a second the shutters open, 49/50th's it's closed. Not great odds edit: for getting exactly the shot you wanted :p

Which I know...

Which is why no one else inc myself took it any further than a quick laugh...

Try to keep up
