Can't really Afford GY F1s, other ideas?

Because they are of a harder compound and, as a result, compromise in terms of absolute grip.

I realise that. I was just adding to the point that they're cheap... they also last longer than GYEF1s.

I just got a puncher in one of my tyres so had to order a set of 4 F1’s today. I paid £106 plus fitting for 235.40.18. Did I over pay?

Also am I correct in thinking that unevenly worn tyres are not a good idea on the Quattro? This is why I ordered 4 new tyres and not just one.

Nah, i reckon that's a good price. They're £117 each on Mytyres.co.uk. I was even quoted £127 each including fitting for F1s in 215/40-16 the other day :eek:

Ended up just getting 4 F1s as they were cheaper than quite a lot of the other tyres that were recomended. Also had my size listed wrong earlier

Ended up paying £65 for 205/50/16s, not bad

Mine has 205/55 R16 W boots on, but unfortunately I don't have any say in my tyres as they put on whatever the lease company tells them to.

Have had Dunlop SP Sport 01 all round until last week when the fronts were replaced with Michelin Primacy HPs. God knows what they're like but hey, they're free
