Capital One Cup Quarter-Final ** Spoilers ** [16th -17th December 2014]

Possible banana skin for Chelsea too, Derby away isn't an easy trip.

True, but I'd rather be visiting Pride Park than St. James'.

I fancy Chelsea's chances against any of the remaining teams, but I'd rather not visit that Godforsaken place again until next season.

Mourinho says that we are playing our strongest side tonight, aside from Cahill who's being rested, so we should have plenty of firepower to ram the rams.

True, it's not been fun up there recently.
We're not playing until Monday night so there's no real need to rest anyone (aside from Cahill who's been ever present) but I think there will be some changes from our 1st choice team.

Edit:

Cech, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Terry, Luis, Mikel, Matic, Schurrle, Fabregas, Hazard, Drogba

Subs: Schwarzer, Ivanovic, Ramires, Willian, Salah, Remy, Costa

Chelsea: Cech; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Terry (c), Filipe Luis; Mikel, Matic; Schurrle, Fabregas, Hazard; Drogba

Subs: Schwarzer, Ivanovic, Ramires, Willian, Salah, Remy, Diego Costa

Pretty strong lineup...

I'm a bit surprised to see Mikel starting alongside Matic though - I thought we'd go for a bit more of an attacking option, though this lets Oscar have a break. I suspect we'll see him subbed for Ramires in the second half (Jose said Ramires isn't fit enough to start just yet).

Would have been nice to see Remy get a start, but I'm sure The Drog will do the business!

I feel a bit sorry for Remy, he's done nothing wrong but never seems to be '2nd' choice.
Even at the weekend when we were 2 up v Hull Drogba got a run out.

I can understand Drogba being "first choice" to come on for 15 minutes or so at the end of games - he offers something different in his height and power, especially in set pieces. But for games like this I'd like to see Remy have a shot. He's looked great whenever he's been on the pitch for us, and yeah, I do feel like he's had a bit of a rough run. As you say he's done absolutely nothing wrong this season.

4-4 Valencia, Rayo not happy with goal at all completely surrounded ref, he started giving out a few yellows, could have easily seen more, getting a bit out of control, mental game.

Someone down and hurt quite badly for Chelsea, not really seen who it is tbh as I was watching with the other game turned up.

Real in the club world cup, Bale making it 3-0 early in the second half after goals from Ramos and Benzema in the first.

Valencia just got a red card, seriously mental game, Valencia leading 6-5 on aggregate at the moment but down to 10 men, 4-4 in this game, 10 mins to go.
