Everybody knows I'm not one for making excuses for Utd, and I'm not, they were terrible.
I can't comment on how good they are generally but today they played really well. Sometimes lower league sides can cause upsets playing a defensive, direct style of play but they actually got the ball down and played, and played well.
Wait, what? I didn't even know there were any games today, so when my mate said they lost 4-0 to MK Dons I thought he was taking the ****. Mother of God, what a downfall. I hope the money is worth the massive embarrassment of switching from the top team in the world to utter *****, Di Maria.![]()
All could be easily answered by visiting the BBC sports page.
Both our wing backs were making their debut, I think we can cut them a little slack. Changing a system is never an overnight thing.
I wonder how many more people are going to not look at the game or anything and pop up with these comments.![]()
"I can change the system with Di Maria, he can play on the wing, or in midfield."
Might be a move to 4-3-3 (or whatever) on the cards then. Or, a 4-3-1-2.
I wonder how many more people are going to not look at the game or anything and pop up with these comments.![]()
The 'long ball football' myth about lower league football is exactly that, when Wednesday were in League One I was very surprised at the good quality of football played, even posting about it on here, so MK Dons playing quite good football was not surprising.
It remains that they are a very average side for League One (they've made some good signings) they played well, I do not disagree, but Manchester United were inept. Totally inept.
Yeah but I chose to post here instead and Robbo kindly answered my questions.
I'm terribly sorry you would appear to have a problem with outsiders, maybe you should get some fresh air![]()
I'm going to take a massive guess and say they were playing their youth team, but it's still shocking.
I totally think four, three, three would be a better system or four, two, three, one or four, three, two, one.
he's not the best defender in the world but he's a solid performer, or he used to be.
Mostly, but most disappointingly for me the few more experienced players were all especially awful as well. :/
Evans had a nightmare, he's not the best defender in the world but he's a solid performer, or he used to be.
The guy who does the ZonalMarking website says we should play 4-3-1-2: http://www.espnfc.com/blog/tactics-...gaals-tactical-evolution-at-manchester-united
Not sure if he's a great football mind or not, but it's worth a read.
No problem with newcomers at all mate. But when you come in and spout stuff like:
"Man Utd, with a bunch of experienced star players, how is it possible they can lose by this much even with a new manager?"
Which even a casual glance at the teamsheet would show isn't true then you should be prepared to be called out on it![]()
Moyes had a lot more. He had loads of experienced players, less injuries and a team fresh off a title win.
