Front page news on Sky. Why is everything over exaggerated

The ball boy was being a ****
Hazard gave him a little tap, he wouldn't even get a red mark for that. It wasn't a kick.
Grow some balls, man up, except you were being a **** and accept your just slap.

it's all a big joke till somebody loses a rib.

That Liberty stadium should be closed down. To near fatalities in the space of a month or so.

He kicked a ball boy.

There will be a severe ban.

Not to do so will set a precedent that it is okay to kick a ball boy (even though he is being a douche).

So he will get a big lengthy ban if anything for policy reasons, regardless of his intention of "I was going for the ball".

That is pretty much it.

The thing is players get straight reds just for putting their foreheads near another players face and moving it forward in an aggressive manner (without contact even!), so physically kicking the ball out from beneath a ball boy like that is always going to be a red.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but he should have just tried to grab it out from under him with his hands and then complained to referee but obviously he was frustrated, in the end he got sent off ruining Chelsea's chances and wasted more time than if he had just let the ball boy do his job (of returning the ball slowly :p).

The thing is even if one were to concede that the kid shouldn't have been protecting the ball, and that Hazard is not trying to kick him, it still doesn't leave me with any sympathy for Hazard. You cannot go wading in with a kick like that regardless of your intentions, it's like when players raise their hands to the faces of other players, they are risking getting sent off (remember Gervinho vs Newcastle at the start of last season? Gentle hand on the face and Barton goes down like a sack of spuds, but Gervinho was asking for trouble).

South Wales Police: Swansea ball boy interviewed by police and no complaint made

I thought it was hilarious but it's been blown out of proportion, idiotic from both Hazard and the kid (he's supposedly about my age ).

There is no excuse for a so called professional footballer doing that but I was impressed by the kids acting afterwards, he'd make a good pansy footballer.

Kid was a complete utter douchebag for not giving the ball back to Chelsea, Hazard shouldnt have kicked him but i can kind of understand that his fustration got the better of him ie they were down 2 goals and didnt expect some brain dead moron to time waste and not give the ball back.

Zero sympathy for the idiot and zero sympathy for Hazard, he should get a lengthy ban for what he did earlier tonight.

Always a class act Chelsea, seems like you have 3 players in your team that are utter idiots now.

"You're getting sacked in the morning" is a common chant when the underdogs are winning, but really Lambert needs time that's all. He's got some good young players there and he just needs a couple of seasosn before they flourish I'd say.
Ferguson was allegedly going to get sacked but his youngsters finally came up trumps. I know time is a rare commodity in the PL but I honestly think Lambert just needs a little.
And I say this as a Villa hater since I was at proper Wembly in '96 to see us get arsed by them.

Why do people say daft stuff, when you play gay chicken or actually do a proper heatbutt its not accidental contact, its intentional, either the intent to court another man for butt sex, or intent to heatbutt the other guy, Hazard intended TO KICK THE BALL.

One guy kills a man in cold blood, intending to murder him and does life in jail, another man kills a man accidentally while defending himself, and walks away free. Intent is EVERYTHING in life, a man punches a woman because he wanted to, abusive ****, another man is swinging his arms around because some crap DJ told him to do so like he just didn't care and accidentally smacks a woman in the face, same thing?

These are completely incomparable, absolutely and only a nutjob would compare intentional violence with an accident. Our entire society places massive worth on the intent behind actions, but when people want to they just ignore the reason for what happened because they want to play silly games.

Kid with basically no contact flops on ball for no reason, is visibly on hands and knees holding the ball beneath him, then rolls over a bit to get even more in the way(something not obvious and less so for someone standing over him) and a player taps the ball out from underneath and theres a little shin/rib contact which is both, not bad, accidental, and NOT THE INTENT, its a nothing situation being blown out of proportion by people that want to blow out out of proportion.

And if someone for some reason was holding the football behind Barton and he was actually reaching for the ball and accidentally brushed Barton's face, he still should have got a red, for reaching for a ball? Intent is everything, in life in general and most certainly in most of footballs rules.

Gervinho deserved a red because soft as it was he intentionally raised his hand to a player, he didn't accidentally do it while doing something else, same way Barton deserved a yellow for intentionally diving, while had he actually been sucker punched and went over not of his own choosing, not intentionally it wouldn't be a dive. Intent, intent, intent, its the only thing that matters here, he didn't intend to kick the kid.

The action was trying to kick the ball, the intent was trying to kick the ball the result was he kicked the ball AND accidentally got the kid a bit as well. If he intentionally kicked the kid, I'd say lifetime ban from EPL, if there is no intent, no punishment whatsoever.

wish i watched this now :p

from them gifs, he just looks like he is trying to get the ball back of a stupid ball boy.

hes clearly trying to kick the ball from under him.

but he shouldnt of done it, has the kid been watching bale?
