Captain America: Brave New World

I don't mind them going with a Cap like this as it is a comic book arc. But at least give him some super powers to make him remotely interesting. I don't think Anthony Mackie is particularly good as a lead either. They should have got someone with a bit more charisma and on screen presence.

Shouldn't have had "Captain America" in the title, or Red Hulk, or as much budget as it did.

Those guys will never be top tier MCU so just call it "Bird Boy and The Winter Soldier", let them fight some enhanced humans and call it a day.
Wasn't that the plot of the TV show Falcon and the winter soldier.

Will try and catch this over the weekend, feel it will be more of the same recent Marvel adequate releases but hoping it'll be above average

Booked this for IMAX on Sunday....pretty low expectations and I have never been sold on Sam/Falcon being the new Captain America.

However the kids wanna see it because of the whole 'Red Hulk' thing.

All showings are sold out at our Odeon tonight plus pretty rammed over the whole weekend. Been a while since that happened with an MCU film.

Biiiiggg caveat here is 50% of showings are the small studio screens and none are the biggest screen even at peak.

Bridget Jones has the most showings and the big screens which are all pretty busy or sold out too.

Yep the MCU has lost out to Bridget Jones. Now that is peak cinema competition for me.....:D

Just out of the cinema and it was very mediocre. Wanted it to be good so bad but it ended up to be average. Very average. It was just continuation of the TV series :(
