Car Clamps

Guy across the road has had his car clamped, so far he has used a small angle grinder and a big hacksaw. No luck so far.

Camel Spiders fangs tbh.

Any ideas?

An angle grinder will get it off, you just need a proper grinder and the right disc (cutting rather than grinding. Diamond edged would be nice!)

Bah! Bloody picky!

I assume its only clamped on one wheel? If so, tell him to unbolt the clamped wheel, take it off and put a spare on.

All the clamps I've seen cover the wheel centre to prevent you doing that.

You realise that doing that could land him into a bigger fine?

Why doesn't he just ring the council?

a) move to Scotland where i think clampping is illegal.

b) depending on the clamp fully deflate the tyre, jack up car and pull clamp off.

c) For Future: Get the car lowered so the arch covers the wheel = no clamps (and if low enough to the ground no towing with out them damagin ** car = sue them!)

I don't think he cares Freefaller. He came over and asked us if we had any tools to help him.

I have actually done this once in London

It worked amazingly (I had a foot pump in the boot of the car). I did no damage to the clamp and put it back exactly where I left it. Needless to say I still had to pay the fine though - I tried to contest it saying that it musn't have been clamped properly, and at the time there was a clause stating that you must do no damage to the clamp (which I didn't). It didn't work for getting me off the fine though

Heck it was still worth it - I'd have loved to have seen their faces!
