Car Clamps

I dunno? Doesn't seem legal to clamp someones car outside there house to me.

If the council clamped him, then they did it for a reason. Otherwise he has an enemy.

But I don't think I've been "PWNT" for pointing out that he's probably been parked illegally in the first place.

if you're parking illegally you'll get clamped, regardless of whether you're outside your house or not. it's most likely that it was the council that did it as contractors only work on private property. it could always be a mate having a laugh, i've always wanted to do that

A friend of mine was given a parking ticket for having his tyre touching the kerb...

I'm going to move this to Motors as it's probably more suitable there now really.

I've seen one of our couriers get clamped on a main road in Camden, they got the clamp off in broad daylight, not sure how they did it lol, although they didn't bring that particular car back again for fear of what would happen if the council saw it again lol

Ahaha, can't see why he was clamped.

he's partially parked on the pavement. this can be cause for licence endorsements for obscuring a public walkway. you also never know, but there might be double/single yellows/he might not be displaying a permit. so you're right, you can't see why he was clamped

It's anal, but it could be that he's slightly in the way on the dipped kerb in front of the driveway? (Unless that's his house in which case it's bloody stupid.)

Every parks partialy on the pavement down our road, otherwise the emergency services would have trouble. There arn't any yellow lines and his house is the cream one.

If the neighbour has no issues then I don't see why he was clamped. Maybe his neighbour ought to also get in touch with the council to let them know that his car wasn't an obstacle?

looks like a baliffs clamp .. Quite common for them to clamp a car thats on hp or where the client owes a lot of cash to council tax/parking etc .
Im sure they will just add it to is already large bill .

I didn't realise they were any different! Though I guess if he hasn't had a sticker put on his windscreen saying he's been parked illegally or a parking fine it could well be that. Maybe it's the DVLA if he hasn't paid his tax.
