Since about April/May someone has been parked in my space that is allocated to me on my leasehold. I bought a car last week so i now need to use it.

I've called the car park management who said the warden would be around to issue a ticket, that was 2 weeks ago and nothings happened. The housing association keep referring me back to the car park management company(PCM). I called PCM again and they told me to download an app where i could self enforce a parking ticket which involves taking some pics and uploading them with a description and the person the car is registered too will get a ticket in the post. Is that even possible? I would have thought only the DVLA would have the car owners address.

If the car doesn't move where do i stand legally? I did get a report on said car and it was written off in Sept 22 and then changed ownership in January.

parking companies get the owner's info from the dvla, it's super dodgy imo, but that's what happens. go through their process and see what happens.

failing that I guess you can't find out who owns it, so you'd have to tow it.

If it's an allocated parking space on a leasehold, then it will surely be on private property, in which case it's not a police matter.

Police will only do something if it is blocking you in, or other traffic. Not if it is preventing you parking.

I had a satisfying one once when some self-entitled type parked inconsiderately outside my house blocking in a delivery driver, surprisingly the police put the window in and moved it almost immediately and when they'd got in contact with the driver later and both returned to the scene took no prisoners in dressing the driver down, who initially was getting ***** with the police, for their parking.

Then this would be the civil way to proceed.

or see if it's in gear , if not jack it up and push it out your slot
