*** Car Wash / Valet / Detailing Thread ***

[ no yellow is good, mine has past it's second decade, - it would survive like a cockroach. (workmate 536 is older)

Like I'd mentioned in earlier posts although I'm changing washers in the recirculation valve to attempt to reduce pw pulsing (sourcing problems, for old model)
but think the inadequate water pressure may be issue in property I'm in now, and am looking to get a 3/4" hoze, but first need to confirm that theory,
by creating a very short section of 15mm hoze to see if that improves the flow issue, rather than 30m I currently use.

Gave the R a bit of a clean. Nothing exciting, but got good enough results. A quick snowfoam with BH Touchless, then a once over with a Quick Detailer.

Then decided to tidy the exhaust tips up a bit. Used some Pink Stuff paste, and then finished with some T-Cut metal polish I had kicking about. Good enough results for me for the 30 mins I spent doing it.

Spent the last couple of hours washing the Mustang first proper post winter wash. Very cathartic.

Used some cottong buds to get to the algae behind the wing mirrors.

Rain x'd the back window, getting used to no back wiper, but this will help.

I found using a detailing brush and going around all the seals and gaps everywhere after the snow foam on my i3S quite relaxing too! Hadn't been washed in about six months but the brush got rid of all the green and grime in the creases quite nicely.

looks good

i use DIY stuff

if its REALLY dirty , ie muddy, dont hose it first, rinseless wash as a pre wash, i then rinse it off with more rinseless wash, then re spray then contact

Quick question - please can someone point me in the direction of a snow foam lance that fits the Nilfisk C110.7?

The Nilfisk lance looks terrible. Autobrite sold out. Meguiars not compatible.

At the moment I'm swaying towards this one from CleanYouCar, but wondered if there are better options available?

Thank you.

I bought the Autoglym one and it is infinitely better than the god awful one that comes with the washer. I paid about £30 for it, but did need to buy an adapter to fit the Nilfisk.

Managed to do the first proper clean of the year yesterday on the cars, was quite nice to spend a few hours out in the sun for a change.
