*** Car Wash / Valet / Detailing Thread ***

i got rid of my worx cordless pressure washer , i now have a Geenworks cordless
as i do rinseless wash i don't use the greenworks at the mo, I'm saving it till i get my own place, so im currently thinking of getting something like an IK sprayer as its be quicker and just as effective really

There's also the option of getting a 9L sprayer and just attaching one of those portable tyre inflators to it (if the sprayer has a pressure valve). Should be fine as long as the sprayer has a auto release value to release excess pressure.

as i said previously the 12L can be battery powered from IK sprayers, but the 9L version you cant, i like the idea of manual or battery, but i also like the idea of the the ones like the Karcher as its easier to store like the boot of the car or on a shelf indoors etc

What is the recommended Wheel protection, between cleaning? I had been using spray on cheap stuff on focus but it has ran out.
On the previous car I used poorboys wheel world (pink stuff, going from memory), I imagine it would be a pain to apply on the style of wheels on the mustang.
I have used autoglym extra gloss protection when in a pinch before, again not easiest to apply.
same one you use on the car body

I will say this though

Snow foam on a dry car because the water is acting as a barrier to the dirt, and thus your diluting the snow foam down even more

Any recommendations on shampoo to use via a foam lance? Round 1 is BH Auto Foam and instead of two buckets afterwards thinking to blitz the car in shampoo and have one bucket to dunk the mitt into when making my way around the car. BH Auto Wash only needs 5ml in a bucket but reckon I might need something better suited for a foam lance?

if your using a lance, i would do this :

BiltHamber snowfoam straight onto the car, rinse, apply again, then you can either rinse again, or contact wash

This is what i do :

I don't have a foam lance, so i use a garden sprayer to put rinseless wash on car, if its really bad, i then go over it again to wash off, then i contact wash, then dry

Any recommendations for a shampoo to be used on a ceramic coated car?

I was using GTechniq G Wash for years but since they changed to the Version 2 it just seems like all they did was dilute the product down and charge twice as much for it.

Perfect time to find something else thats does the same job at a reasonable price. Something that can be bought in the 5L option too.

safe on ceramic coatings
