Sure, but name one other example of a similar situation to that being given offside. I genuinely can't think of one.

Players who don't touch the ball, get called offside loads on set pieces.

In corners these are regularly called fouls. Players usually go down to help.

But it was given as offside, not a foul. And it's incredibly rare for players to get called offside in that kind of situation. Loads of teams stand players on the keeper from free kicks to block his eyeline, and they're barely ever called off
