Carabao Cup Final Chelsea v Mancester City ** Spoilers ** [24th February 2019]

If Aguero had delivered the ball to Sterling in the last couple of minutes of the extra time, there wouldn't have been any penalties.
The Chelsea goalkeeper is a joke. Get rid of him!

Sarri did nothing wrong here, this was blatantly Kepa being insubordinate and refusing to heed his manager in public.

Chelsea played well for the whole game too so you could possibly pin the loss on Kepa refusing to let the statistically better goalie at penalties come on.

Much better play from Manchester City and Chelsea than earlier today what Liverpool and United produced. Their first half was ugly anti-football.

Sarri also didn't react to the situation very well afterwards when you have to move on, given that the game was still left.

You can see Sarri really wanted to drag him off though (but obviously couldn't enter the pitch). Chelsea players should have dragged him off. The lack of action by Azpilicueta as captain was also poor.

The media angle will be obvious though, lack of respect from the players, lost control of the dressing room etc. That's how it looks from the outside.

True or not, no player at any level should disrespect the management and the club like that in such a high profile match. Honestly it's just ridiculous.

I would like to see Sarri walk away and let the club rot.

Yeah Terry parroting the 'trust he didn't see it' garbage now too. Terry also undermining him saying 'I'd march on the pitch and do it', any ref who has a clue would have you binned off to the stands in your full kit you bell

Willian's face on the bench when all this going on is an absolute classic, complete shock. Players on the pitch should've helped the situation and so could the ref, he could've simply told Kepa that the game wouldn't restart until he's off the pitch.

As much as I loathe Chelsea, I feel sorry for Sarri. Players power has gone too far as evidenced by the player revolt at Man Utd and Chelsea.

It was Kepa who first wanted to go out. Then felt better and his plot was that the substitution wasn't necessary.

He was ordered off by his manager, the board was up, the player coming on was ready. He refused to come off and Sarri absolutely lost his mind cause of it.

I am pretty sure it speaks for itself.

He never wanted to leave. He was simply time wasting.

edit:
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says that extraordinary stand-off with keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was a "misunderstanding".

Sarri also says the Spaniard will not be disciplined by the club.

"I misunderstood the problem and only realised the situation when the doctor arrived at the bench.

"It was a big misunderstanding because I understood the keeper had cramp and was unable to go to the penalties. But it was not cramp and could go to the penalties."

Looks like Sarri might let this go. I don't think it was a misunderstanding though and even if it was, it doesn't matter.

If Sarri lets this go and Kepa plays the next match he is done. He will lose all respect and it will be clear the players run the dressing room.

He has to play Caballero for the next few games at least if he wants to rain any respect.

I don't think Chelsea should let this go, no matter how desperate they are. So many longstanding Chelsea fans on twitter are fuming.

As they should be. I would be if a Spurs player pulled that crap out too. The problem is that he is a ~£65million player and I feel the value will influence the punishment.
