That was beyond bizarre the whole substitution fiasco. I mean wow, never seen anything like that ever.

Chelsea need to make an example of Kepa at the very least, shove in him the reserves team for remainder of the season then loan him out till end of his contract if possible.

As a former ref I can tell you that if a player is sent off and refuses to leave the pitch then the match is abandoned. Depending on the individual rules of the competition the current result may or may not stand, or the game would be replayed - that usually depends on how much time remains.

However I am not aware of any power the ref has to force a player who refuses to be subbed to leave the pitch, I suspect something will be added to the rule book for next season though!

I reckon you could book him for time-wasting (you see players getting booked occasionally if deliberately walking off slowly) and then give him a second yellow 20s or so later. In reality you would book him and say you are leaving the pitch one way or the other, either get subbed now or it's a second yellow and then you will get crucified by your club.

that was shocking from kepa. im fully behind the manager for that. Kepa should be fined and made an example but nope, instead the chelsea manager will get the sack this morning i bet.
Player power prevails again and only in chelsea because of there owner.

Apparently so. Chelsea are in for a tough next season or 2 at least with all the crap happening just now. They need to rebuild from the ground up.
