Carabao Cup - Fourth Round ** Spoilers ** [29th Sept - 1st Oct 2020]

Lampard deservedly earnt respect as a great player but at least learn your trade before picking fights with all time greats like Bielsa, Klopp and Mourinho. He will be back in the Championship next season

I think half the time clubs appoint managers knowing they're a massive gamble and will likely be sacked 12 months or so down the line, they just want someone (often an ex-player) to keep the fans appeased for as long as possible. Even if clubs chase a big name like Mourinho demanding massive wages it won't necessarily work out long term so what do they have to lose hiring inexperienced people? Managers these days basically have to hit the ground running and never fall over in order to stay in a job.

Bielsa = all time great?

tongue in cheek comment surely?

Are you saying he isn’t the one of the most influential coaches of all time? He is one of the most respected managers from both players and coaches around the world. Not everything is measured on trophies you win. Do you your research lad.

I know very little about Bielsa apart from that he is name dropped by almost all of the managers considered to be the best in the last 10 or 15 years. Seems like hes a massive nutter but unquestionably massively influential.

This team just shows how much deadwood we have in the squad.

That was pretty awful defending. We haven't looked like earning many goals this game so set pieces are probably where they will come from.

Horrendous first half really.

Not surprising. I reckon at most, 2 of those players on the pitch are first XI. Utterly pointless playing with 9 changes to your first team unless you want to rest players.
