Carling Cup and PL ganes, 14th to 20th *SPOILERS*

SSN confirm that there's absolutely nothing wrong with Davies apparently. So basically it's not a broken ankle or 'serious' ligament damage as most were saying last night on tv

Diaby is out for a nearly a month though if the rumours are to be believed ..

OR Diaby could be fine like Davies.

Rumours.

No, just don't respect Bolton's player after those 180 minutes. They tried their hardest to sabotage football and kicked Arsenal black and blue. If they want to play a physical game they should be prepared to get what they give. It's football, occasionally people get kicked. Walcott got done in a very similar challenge a few weeks ago that nobody here mentioned.

"Bolton kicked us it's unfair, they can't complain when we kick them" :D

I don't care too much, it was annoying at the end of the first half where they did about 10 in the space of 3 or 4 minutes, but aside from that I accept that's the only way those players know how to play.

fair point, but Arsenal and Man Utd are on equal amount of games, so until Arsenal drop more points than us - they are still ahead......I think that makes sense anyway lol ;) and of course I believe Arsenal play middle of the week while Man Utd have the CC Semi 2nd leg

(and at the moment I wouldnt definitely say Hull wont draw with Man Utd ....or worse, so the table could end up being the same for 4 or 5 more days lol)

Arsenal won't be top in a month anyway, it is a very, very temporary confidence boost that came at exactly the right time (right before the biggest part of the season imo), next few games -

Villa away
Man Utd home
Chelsea away
Liverpool home

Incredibly harsh fixture list, but it means that after these games, Arsenal can win 90% of the others and have a very strong finish.

No! That's Owen Coyle "inspiring" them.

I agree in part, it's hard to get players that are used to playing X to play Y.

I think Bolton looked better under Coyle.

Give Coyle a bit of time (if Bolton stay up) over the summer transfer market he might be able to get them playing football.

Until then, kicking players that kick you doesn't somehow make it right.

Aye, tough run of games for Arsenal coming up.

Should be able to get something from those games though.

Arsenal are capeable of beating all those teams.

I think the Liverpool and Villa games are the best chances of getting wins, maybe get a draw against Man United as well. Can't realistically see them getting anything at Stamford Bridge, so 6-7 points I reckon would be a great out come over those 4 games.

Tevez is having a good season, his best. But Rooney is still much better, imo Rooney was still the best player on the park the other night and Tevez scored twice.

I'm quite confident of a result (point or three) at Stamford Bridge, Arsenal seem to play much better there than they do at the Emirates

Kyrgiakos - I'm starting to really like this guy and I cant help but wonder why Benitez hasn't been using him more often over the last few months. I know he messed up in one game previously, but he's demonstrated in the last two games his experience and willingness to get the job done. He's also very good in the air and seems to settles the others around him. +1 from me :)

He's looked more than decent in the last 2 games but you've got to take into account what we've been up against. Spurs just looked to go long to Crouch at every opportunity as did Stoke at the weekend; he's a powerful guy and looks very strong in the air so that sort of style of play, plays into his hands. I'd worry about him against sides that will keep the ball on the ground.
Horrible tackle by Gallas.

Love all the Arsenal fans saying that "they do it to us" :D

Because two wrongs make a right?
You expect that from fans from any club but you don't expect it from managers though.

That was the wrong decision RE: the Defoe goal, should have stood.

Not only was he offside, but he fouled Reina too. The right decision was made.

Just seen the highlights. That really was an awful challenge by Gallas. It's like he just paid no attention to the fact there was someone's leg there. Surprised there's apparently no action being taken though?

Meanwhile though, we're top of the league. Ace. Funny how I thought Jaaskelainen would have a blinder against us, only for him to barely attempt to save our goals. All excellently taken though, and what form Fabregas is in.

I think I'm going to leave the highlights on loop for the rest of the evening.

Did Wenger say something I've missed?

AFAIK he's apologised and said it was up to the ref to stop play. Which it is these days. It was only after the Everton game, 12 days ago, when he said he's told Denilson that you can't just expect the ref to stop play when you're down. Everton nearly scored from that, too. But we have to forget that, because the rules aren't important unless someone's been wronged, I guess.

Defoe didn't foul pepe IMO he went down looking for a freekick because his defender had sold him short. He wasn't offside either the defender played the ball, it IMO entered another phase of play. But who cares big 3 points for Rafa and always
nice seeing 'Arry lose.

Defoe had already started closing Kyriakos down before he touched the ball. Kyriakos wouldn't have played the ball back Reina had Defoe not been there so he's had to have interfered with play.

In his post-match interview on Skywhen asked about the tackle (he first said he didn't see it well enough ;) ) he came out with something along the lines of, 'put together a video of their fouls and ours and we'll watch that'.

It just sounded like a kid coming out with a 'yea but he did it first' line.
