You may as well have driven off and left them all stood there - at least you'd be getting the silent treatment for good reason then :)
 
Give her the silent treatment back, then when she cracks (they always do) say you're fed up with her childish moods but say it in a way that you seem really fed up with her in a kind of "can't be a***d with it anymore. Make her wonder if you still want her. Then she'll get worried that you hate her and try extra hard to make up.... You win.

If she doesn't crack, leave her to it :D
 
You did right imo.

If your gf wants to get stroppy because you refused to risk points + fine/her mates life then **** her.
 
it isnt safe and i wont do it. i was even sketchy about carrying a middle-rear passenger until i got a car with all 3-point belts.
 
She sounds like a dunce tbh, she got out by her own choice after you told her you weren't going to break the law and risk lives, and she's mad because you left her and that's what she chose to do?

Women always want their own way, stuff femininity, they have no bloody logic with anything.
 
but then he had the simple choice of giving some numpties a lift who were too tight to get their own taxi or drive their own car, or leave the gf and get grief.

for a start i wouldnt give people a lift and secondly id rather live without the female grief
 
Ah, the joys of owning a car that was actually designed to carry that number of people....

But if I didn't own a ridiculous American land barge then I'd have had the same attitude as the OP - I'm not loading that many people into a car that can't really take them. If the GF wants to be stroppy about it....so be it.

'I can't take all 5 of you, it's illegal, I can't do that'
"Fine, i'll get out and wait on my own in the cold while you take my friends home"

OP's response - 'ok, see you in a bit' *drives off*
Required response - 'No, don't be silly darling, why don't two of your friends wait here, we'll drop off the two who live closest first, then come back for the others'

At no point should the girlfriend have been allowed to stay outside of the car. Leaving her on her own was just mindlessly stupid and the OP needs more practice at appeasing women :p
 
Personally I'd say to the others, if you want me to be a taxi then cough up. Which is what I always do. No way in hell would I leave my gf there while I took her friends home. It's a nice way to earn some money and keep the gf happy too.

if you crash and someone dies, it's your fault.

As I said, unless shes something really special to make up for it, dump her, she sounds pathetic. (post pics and ill tell you if you need someone to decide for you, which will mean she probably isn't)

I think we need to think outside the box here, and look at the facts of the situation, I think an important aspect has been missed....

Was this after a Christmas bash? Were the other 5 people fit girls in the their early 20's wearing suitably skimpy outfits? Were said girls fit as f and drunk? Could you have got the sympathy vote and did they all live in the same house? You kids of today, you're all too PC for my liking, get em in, get em layed, get em home, thems the rules, its all about the end game :D ;)
 
I would have done the same, tell her to grow up or to not expect any further lifts, id be annoyed at her for not talking!
 
I think people are missing the point.

He left her on her own, at night, after a night out, in the middle of winter.

That was needlessly stupid and harsh. He could easily have still dropped everyone off and kept his girlfriend sweet, even it meant asking one of her mates to stay with her, if she was so insistent on staying behind. Hell, I wouldn't leave anyone stood on their own, nevermind someone i'm meant to actually give a **** about.
