That's not hypocrisy.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypocrisy
"Hypocrisy is acting in a manner contradictory to one's professed beliefs and feelings, or conversely, expressing false beliefs and opinions in order to conceal one's real feelings or motives"
If you complain about animal cruelty and then go and commit a worse act then yes that is hypocritical.
Well done.
Now explain how eating meat whilst being against the torture of animals makes me a hypocrite.
i saw this yesterday, no idea why people think they're British though :/
Eating meat = killing, which is worse than assault.
You'd rather constant prolonged tortured than die a quick instant death ?Eating meat = killing, which is worse than assault.
Shocking video. But thanks to /b/ if they find him, his life will be ruined - it's already pretty much ruined by having his name splashed all over the internet though.

I agree in some cases eating meat is bad (for example if they are living a lifestyle that is essentially torture), but i think your statements pretty wrong.
Congratulations, you're an idiot.
Great. Lets trash some kid's life. Wonderful.

Well, he won't be doing it again thats for sure![]()
That's true, but if you can do that to your pet cat then you must be treating it pretty badly. I don't think i could ever do that to any of my pets, and its behavior did look like it was expecting it.There was no mention of constant prolonged torture, it was one incident of assault as far as is known.

How do you know?
All this attention could inspire him into doing it again.
Punishment does not automatically equal rehabilitation and the criminal suddenly understanding the concept of empathy.
Oh ok, maybe he could up the stakes next time with a Lion - even things up a bit?
It might not stopping abusing animals but it will probably make him think twice before filming it and posting it on youtube.
Eating meat does not equal killing.
The eating generally comes quite some time after the killing
and the vast majority of people doing the act of eating have nothing to do with the act of killing and don't even think about it.
Well there you go then. You've just justified my argument.
Basically what he's learnt for future reference is that he can still abuse animals but just not upload a video of it.
So all this outrage is pointless.
