Vermin.

Seriously?? Bricks and golf balls? What if those things made contact with the cat? Chase it yes, but don't throw things at it. I don't imagine you'd like someone to chase you throwing bricks and golf balls, and they'd very much hurt/damage you!

Having said that though i'm guessing a neighbour doesn't have cheets64 having a dump on their lawn, otherwise bricks and golf balls would be quite reasonable :D

Im having the same problem myself, we've setup a webcam to catch the little beastie in action, once we know what cats doing it we'll confront the owners... Its a real problem though and means we can't let our 2 year old play on the lawn!!! :@

when u see a cat in the garden run out screaming at it and scare it off, after a week or so it will stop coming. worked for my dad :p

I would expect it if I took a dump on someones grass/soil

Keep it under control/in doors or face a brick in the face. Yo

Your kidding right?

So you've never been caught short in your life and needed to take a wee in a bush or behind a tree somewhere ???
And you think an appropriate response to that would be for someone to smash you in the face with a massive concrete slab more than likely resulting in your slow painful death
WoW, you really do sound pathetic and hopefully next time you decide to bully and attempt to hurt an animal you too are caught on CCTV and get some just deserts!

Some people need to get a grip and more importantly get a life! It's a bit of cat **** for christ sake, the way some of you are going on is as if you think the cat's doing it deliberately to annoy you and has some sort of personal vendetta against you and/or your 'precious' lawn

Well we get it all the time in our garden but it's actually fox carp mostly with an occasional cat helping, it takes me all of 30 seconds to scan the lawn pick up a shovel and fling it into the bush's out harms way! Life goes on and my nephews and I can happily play in the garden now without the worry of a smelly surprise.
Funnily enough I don't hate fox's because of this pretty regular issue as a matter of fact I actually place food out for them as I think they are beautiful animals.
I hopefully want to be able to show my nephews the fox's eating one day as I believe it's very important to teach children to love and respect the animals we share the planet with.
I'd hate to imagine the kind of message that a child would get if they saw their parents/role model lobbing bricks at an animal

My Grandma used to put 12" cut-off sections of garden hosepipe on her soil. She used to bend them into wavey shapes and said the cats didn't like them because they thought they were snakes.

Don't think it really worked. But bless.

If you like fresh coffee sprinkle the used coffee grounds around the area the cat is using to get in/out of the garden, it works for us. Cats aren't coffee drinkers it seems :D
