AMD Catalyst 11.11a performance driver features:

Batman Arkham City

o Improves DirectX 11 performance for single GPU configurations

Rage

o Delivers AMD CrossfireX performance scaling

o Resolves a number of image / stability issues seen with the title:

Fix geometry corruption, sometimes seen in Bash TV entrance

Fix issues with Low-memory conditions on 32bit systems.

Fix issue with extreme corruption with missing textures on 32bit systems.

Fix memory leaks when deleting/reusing sync objects.

§ Fix hitching and pausing, especially noticeable on some Quad Core systems when doing races and Stanley Express runs.

§ Fix some missing shadows

Elder Scrolls Skyrim

o Improves performance 2-7% on single GPU configurations

o Resolve corruption seen when enabling Multi-Sample Anti-Aliasing on the AMD Radeon HD 6970 Series

o Disables CrossFireX (to resolve negative scaling and image quality issues seen when CrossFireX is enabled)

AMD is continuing to work on a CrossFireX solution for Skyrim – as soon as it’s ready we’ll make it publicly available

CatalystMaker also tweeted "Please note that Skyrim CF can't be resolved through a CAP update - needs a driver fix - trying to get this resolved ASAP"

Battlefield 3

o Resolves intermittent corruption seen when playing the game at specific camera angles

Just tested with Skyrim and RAGE.

Skyrim, as said, disables crossfire but now returns very playable performance. On ultra with full AA and AF, I am seeing rock bottom FPS figures of 45/50.

RAGE, Completely fixed for me. Maxed out, constant 60FPS. No texture popping, no flickering NPC or shadows, absolutely PERFECT.

Well AMD, its about time..

Rage still not totally fixed for me but certainly better than 11.9 and much better than 11.10 and 11.11 that virtually broke the game.

Still getting texture pop when I turn but it is significantly less.

According to the thread about these on hardocp theres a custom crossfire profile option in these?

ED: mentioned on rage3d as well

There is, you can force CrossFire game profiles in a similar way to RadeonPro, they should leave it in imo(but folks will break the games I suppose)!

Awesome looking driver. Downloading now. Its nice every month to get excited about a new driver update. Well it is for me anyway. Yeah, what of it?

Well, not excited about simply disabling crossfire to get game running. Using single gpu at 2560x1440 when you like things pretty..... don't work so well :)

Oh well, will just wait for 11.11b.

Gareth and Damien, it's not in the new 11.11a's its in the AMD Developer Driver-8.93-111118a package.

Ha, should have looked up!

hmm, not sure whether to try this, skyrim running generally ok on crossfire with the exe rename. anyone in a similar position and tried it?

The latest EXE patch stops renaming from working.

I found this driver to be much better than all of the work arounds suggested.
