Catalyst 11.11a performance driver

BF3 looks better slightly with these i reckon, like the driver suggest fixes any little texture issues but i too reckon the FPS has dropped slightly. Doesnt crash though and is still smooth so they can stay

Wow!

These new drivers sort out all graphical issues I had with RAGE on my 4890 in Win 7 64.

Smooth as Margarine!

Thank you AMD :)

these cause ridiculously annoying flicker on my 2 dvi-connected screens when in extended mode, but is fine in eyefinity...

it seems every time i watch a video on youtube, open (and close) a game, watch something in vlc (in other words, anything that changes the clocks and *should* put them back to 400/1010) instead defaults them to 157/300; meaning i have to have CCC open constantly to enable and disable overdrive to get them back to normal!

anyone know of a decent fix for this?

i've tried setting custom clocks using the profiles method, but this causes the 'display driver has stopped responding and has recovered' thing, or just causes corruption and locks up.

Texture issues (on dragons for instance) with Skyrim ?
Was fighting a solid purple one last night on a 5970.
Performance OK, but will hopefully be better with proper support.

Fantastic results on MSI 6990 4GB - skyrim now silky smooth (previously was 30-50fps) and BF3 constant 100+ fps

Very happy!

Found a chart that shows the fps increase from the 11.11 normal driver.

Has been a rollercoster with AMD performance recently I must admit.

i've been getting back into PC gaming a lot recently partly as the games are cheaper (on a budget) then PS3 and i've got some decent spec machines but seems each game i've purchased I've had to wait for some fix or another from AMD, each fix appearing to fix one thing, then totally break something else.

RAGE and its textures issue
BF3 and flicking and performance
F1 2011 slow loading times for DX11
Skyrim poor performance

However, 11.11a are by far the best I've used for a while, so thank you AMD. About time. Rage is now perfectly playable, I completed this game with the texture issues but I'll play through it again now. It was nice to fire up F1 2011 and get into a race without waiting ages...

I even tried Skyrim and even 11.11a drivers on my ATI 5650 mobile GPU managed a fairly decent fps which it couldn't before...

don't ever remember it being this bad before, seems every single new purchase I've made this year in regards to PC gaming has seen me hunting for one fix or another.

And another game I'm currently downloading via Steam - Batman Arkham City has been reported to have shocking Dx11 performance.. No surprise, another AAA title with issues on launch..

and they wonder why everyone grabs a PS3 pad and plugs into a TV and plays on a console.. (ok sweeping statement) but blimey, its been a tad poor I will say.

Thankfully, the higher res, more AA more options and v sync and triple buffering options PC gaming gives allows me to forgive AMD and their horrid drivers and now I'm happy as 11.11a do seem to be working for me.. About time..!!

^THIS! I agree with it all mate. But hasn't it always been this way?

It's been a particularly bad few months though. We've had a deluge of great PC games for the first time in years and AMD just hasn't kept up at all. They've dropped the ball big time. I bought this system as recently as last month for all the great games coming out, and I have to disable my second £250 card nearly all the time because AMD quite frankly has no clue.

Did you know that nVidia usually have the same problems? Heck they still don't have any SLI support for Rage.

No clue  Interesting assessment. How do you reckon this gets resolved then? AMD to work closely with devs no matter what the game (crystal ball time for resource allocation) - or the games folk learn more about how to ensure greater concurrency in their engines/games so SLI/XFire work flawlessly? Who is actually responsible I wonder? Better still, they should all vow together (inc Nvidia) to not release games until they are optimised for the users with multiple GPUs .... that would certainly suit me and save me some grief :D

Its all about reasonable balance and commercials for the suppliers whereas for us, relying on multiple GPUs is still a choice you make knowing the issues, most games come good quick enough so be grateful for that! Granted, some don't but that's life ..

Skyrim running 6048x1200 maximum settings, enb series and max textures mod at 60fps with these. *Apparently* all GPUs are at 99% usage

Hmmmmm still looks mint!

going to try these out and see what happens with skyrim currently with 6970 CF on in skyrim im getting min 18fps max 44fps with Average 32.87fps (Fraps) absolute crap as considering how much graphic power is at tap damn you ATI lol...

intrestingly though i just disabled on of my cards via CCC and Fraps reported Min 35fps Max 61fps and an average of 47fps (THIS IS ALL ON THE OLD DRIVERS 11.10)...

im going to install the new drivers and report my results...

I have 2 questions though where are the CF profiles?? also can the Win 7 link be used for win 7 64bit???

[EDIT] or do we simply use the 11.11 caps with this driver???
