Catalyst 7.10

Lol. Fair enough. Will I've got a question for you, with your 2900XT overclocked is it stable?
Is it on stock cooling?

850/975 is stable with stock cooling, its even satable at 1000 memory, I havent tested properly, but I'm guessing 865-970 core and 1050 memory is too.

Can you try by actually taking out 1 card so your actually really using 1 card.

Not a bad increase there, i wonder if it is actually using XFIRE or have just the drivers been optimised for the game.

No tweaks for 1900XT?

afraid ati have given up on us. :( all i can do now is make sure i never buy another ati card ever again. they really don;t deserve the money with the support they give.
my recent purchase for a agp x1950pro was dire too with only driver 7.7 working on it.

Well thats good to know then, we just need some XFIRE support for bioshock, WIC and hopefully crysis will support it.

what have you been smoking? ATI stop making improvemets for cards that were released 2 years ago, that sounds fair enough to me, its so they can now focus on their newer range of cards, think about it if they keep trying to imrpove cards which are old generation they arent going to move forward, the x1900xt's have already had 2 years worth of updates, much better than creatives driver department by millions, and based on this you wont buy another ATI card again, seriously some of the stuff you post makes me laugh, as for your x1950pro its AGP which is now dead and has been for over 3 years do you expect them to keep making drivers for technology that died ages ago too?

So mav's giving up on ati because of there drivers. Looks to me like hes going
to give up on GPU's then as ati have the best driver support in the GPU market.

exactly, he expects them to come round and personally install his graphics card too and give him 24/7 support on the phone and keep releasing updates for their cards for life

Bad driver support? And your saying Nvidia are jumping on the chance to fix the 8800 slow bug (alt-tab to sort it, bug)?

Matthew

Well just installed them and a very nice boost in Bioshock, now very playable at all high settings @ 1280x1024 with an hd2600xt! Very impressed so far with them :)
