Catalyst 7.10

come on concorde, be fair, you of all people know how many problems i've had with my X1900XT and 95% of them problems were down to drivers. they may not have given up but they certainly arent doing much about them, and definately are far from perfect.

I also have a x1900xtx pretty much same as xt and from the moment i got it
over a year ago it has been stable and ran any game i wanted the way it
should. The ati support and drivers been great not that i have noticed as i
only upgrade my drivers for the sake of it not because of the need.

Not sure on your hardware mine reads atm e6600, HIS x1900xtx, thermaltake
kandalf case , Zalman fatality cpu cooler, 2 gig corsair 6400 xms ddr2 ,
creative soundblaster xfi fatality and the dreaded for some hyper type r 580 psu.

E6600 - ASUS P5B-D = IceQ X1900XTX - 600W Seasonic S-12 - WinXP 32

Perfect.

@ Mav, its a 2 year old card design! What the bloody hell do you expect?

LOL

Ill say it now, and I would say it again.

My X1900XTX is the best card I HAVE EVER HAD, 9800 Pro is in 2nd. I've always have problems when I had nvidia stuff and now I dont have any and its perfect (with the exception on the NF2 ABit NF7-S which was godly :o)

thats what im thinking now too, that the card is just not up to anything new these days. stuff like, Dirt, Lost planet, not good at all. :(

Dirt ran fine on my system....X2 4400+ not clocked, 2 gig of ram, and an x1900xtx.

Lost planet ran alrite as well, MoH:A runs fine, Bioshock fine. Card's done me well quite frankly! Brought the thing when it was £300 or so! So god dammit I'm gona get my moneys worth :p

X1900 here absolutely no probs with 7.9's as were the 7.8's and so on and so on. After 2 years its still playing the more up to date games absolutely fine and even the most intensive ones such as FSX it works awesomely with the majority of eye candy settings set to max.

I have no problem playing in the lower resolutions such as 1280x1024 so until I get lower fps than 40 or so in my games I wont need to upgrade. Brilliant card, probably the best one I have ever had for longegevity. I can only assume driver errors for other people are down to their own configuration issues. In other words, rtfm ;)
