thats some nice results with no hit but you sure it worked, I tried setting AA in the source engine(half life 2) and it didnt work just stayed "off" even althought it was set to 6xAA with the 7.8's! only through the CCC could I enable AA properly for it! I shall give it a go later tho ;0

Mines seems to stay on 6xAA but doesnt seem to do anything visually, may just be a Half-Life 2 prob as Iv not tested the stress test on Counter Strike.

These drivers are nice though! Played Oblivion on Ultra High last night for around 2.5hours and its was great :) no AA and the game will handle it smoothly. Only used 4xAF however

What I do like about the HD2600xt is the temps  its like 44idle 59load

AA performs one of several types of effect, the end result being smoother edges on objects... Look at something round with no AA, then with 4x AA, and you should notice that the edges look smoother, and more rounded, or less blocky, with the AA on.

Its all part of an attempt to make ingame graphics look more realistic/smoother, so we see less jaggies. How much effect you see from AA is dependant on the res you game at, and your monitor though.

What he said :)

Yeha indeed I think AF is one of the best graphics enhancement tools out there. It is absolutely great to see detail for a greater distance and x16AF looks fantastic in Half-Life 2 :)

Yes and no, its not as necessary, but AF still makes a worthwhile improvement, as it affects detail levels in the distance, whereas AA is sort of offering pretend resolution boosts :)

AA is a very nice extra, AF is always desirable :)
