In a twist this tale a couple weeks ago I woke up to see 2 large crows in my back garden having breakfast on something in my grass.
I couldnt make out what it was from the kitchen window so I went out to them, turns out it was next doors Cat and it had a huge hole in its side.

This made me very happy because I will no longer get covered in its buried turds when I'm gardening.

Sure because dogs don't kill rats or rabbits or deer or... yes I've seen/known dogs that do/have done those things.

i think he was referring to how cats killing small animals and/or scratching you is "playful" but a dog doing the same is "dangerous", ie how aggression from one species is accepted but not the other.

although i'm not sure it's the greatest analogy, given how many dogs are eminently capable of causing severe/lethal damage to a human being, whereas your domesticated house cat would have a much harder time of it.

i mean when was the last time you heard of anyone killed by a cat?
