Caviar serving suggestions?

The most important thing when serving caviar is to keep it away from metal. It should be put into a glass bowl over crushed ice and served with a spoon made from bone, horn, mother of pearl or antler. A wooden spatula will suffice if the others aren't available.

It should be served on warm blinis or small buckwheat pancakes (available in Waitrose) and may be accompanied by sour cream, smoked salmon or scrambled egg. It should be washed down with vodka.
This man speaks the truth. We have a spoon made from mother of pearl.

Personally I prefer champagne to vodka but it's personal preference.

I dont get the whole appeal myself.

I think rich people just eat wierd crap for the hell of it

Vodka is the true way my friends...

champagne is for the - what do you say - 'hoy-poloy'

I went to a Russian do last year & they served red Caviar on Ritz Crackers, washed down with Stoichnya vodka & orange juice.

I've tried a few other ways but lightly buttered toast is just the right combo for me. Last time was with a bottle of Duval Leroy, cheap and cheerful :)
