CBD oil/tinctures/eliquid

I was diagnosed over the phone with polymyalgia rheumatica back last September and had a 2 or 3 day wait to see the GP to get my steroid tablets, the only effective first line treatment. The first day after my diagnosis I was pretty much rooted to the armchair, the pain was terrible in my hips and shoulders and trying to sleep was a nightmare.

I did my research that day and decided to try vaping cbd liquid so I selected a cbd supplier and bought a vaping pen on Amazon. On day 2 it all arrived, I had to be helped from the chair by my wife to sign for the items, the pain and stiffness was so bad.
I started vaping that evening and by bedtime I could walk up the stairs unaided. I continued vaping next morning, the relief from pain and stiffness was astonishing. I was still in pain but nothing like I'd been the previous 2 days, of course once the steroids took effect I was much improved.

I notice that when I stop vaping the pain and stiffness gradually return to some degree over a couple of days but I improve when I start again. I am now in the process of gradually reducing the steroids month by month and during the 1st week of tapering the dose I increase the cbd strength, I don't get any of the "flaring" of symptoms that most people seem to get when reducing the steroid dosage, for me vaping the cbd has been a game changer.
Sorry for the long and rambling post!

Ask them about "white balance" while you're there. ;)

An interesting read. Great stuff, Footman.

If no-one has anything specific to recommend then I'll take a punt on what I get locally and perhaps buy some CBD isolate online (99% pure) to experiment with the strength until I find what works for me.

I've been using CBD oil for 12 months now due to chronic osteoarthritis in my hips (I unable to take anti inflammatory ) I take it at night and found I sleep better with less waking due to pain and I'm more relaxed (less shorted tempered). I tested by taking for 2 months then not taking for 1 month and did notice the difference without . Even if it is a placebo it seems to help me.

I purchase mine from Amsterdam in drops(an acquired taste think marmite ) or capsule form

have any of you who found CBD does help improve your quality of life ever considered going somewhere that has real marijuana for sale and trying some of the medical strains to see how it compares to CBD by itself

The cbd I vape acts purely on the inflammatory area of my immune system it contains no THC. The THC that would be present in the medical strains would be acting as in areas of my body that would not be of benefit as an anti inflammatory. The THC is essentially acting as a psychoactive.

I've used CBD on and off for a good few years now.

My recommended: PENG with MCT, Full Spectrum. 2500mg.
(Its been a few years so I couldn't tell you the research I did but I found this one and have trusted in their brand ever since). Couple drops under your tongue is sufficient, this one is a heavy vape but still doable.

I have no way to let you know if it aids sleep as I haven't slept a full night since my first was born, I do know it aided with depression when I lost a very close family member.

Cannabis is a sensitiser. If you're happy go lucky? Then it will make you more so.

If you're feeling down? It will make everything so much worse.

If you're a paranoid schizophrenic? World look out. There's a madman with a machete wanting to murder people.

It's good stuff if your'e in a good place with a right frame of mind.

Utterly Deadly otherwise.

One of the guys who works for me has a small business importing CBD oil from the US. He’s a chemistry graduate and gave me a very technical, scientific sounding explanation of how it works. I’ve always been sceptical about it but he wouldn’t shut up about it so I bought a small bottle in the end for about £55 which he claimed would make me sleep better and wake up feeling refreshed. I’ve tried it several times, in different doses and it doesn’t seem to make any difference. I guess it works better for some than for others?

Hmm. Nepalese Temple Balls were all the rage when I was a lad.

Long time ago comparatively speaking. Apparently.

I'd love to know if this is just second hand nonsense or you've actually had an extremely bad experience. You are also referring to cannabis as a whole not simply the cbd extract.

Strength plays a big part, most are BS and wont touch anyone with a decent tolerance for anything, however the proper strength stuff is definitely effective.

£55? For a small bottle?

It's certainly working for someone.
Mark up is ridiculous for these imports, the one I get is from a wholesaler for £40 for 60ml, those 60ml bottles go for £80+ online, shops must be even more expensive.
Depends on the variant.
The variant of?

I was wondering this myself. I tried “other THC products” in the past which didn’t have much effect on me so it could well be that. Alcohol doesn’t affect me much either unless I drink a large amount of it. I’d be interested to try a proper CBD oil from someone who really knows what they’re talking about.

But that's the sold product rather than the cannabinoid itself. And i've always believed, especially in the UK, THC percentages are generally low in a lot of CBD products (i know 'blends' exist elsewhere; same as cannabis) due to legality - could be wrong here.

To be honest, i'm still pretty green (;)) with CBD but a lot of the research from Raphael Mechoulam and the Israelis seems interesting.

I'm interested in trying CBD but this is the one thing that's stopping me, ie - buy a £50/60 bottle and find it has trace amounts of CBD.
Is there no medical/legal requirement to include the percentage of CBD that the product states?
