CBR600 F3 (96) Clutch question

Did the plates look straight fireskull?

@mowy pity you couldn't have changed the friction and metal plates while you had it all apart

Yeah the plates I could see looked straight and the ones I could touch moved freely, friction plates all looked good too of the ones I could see.

I really would suggest refreshing the Oil and seeing if that makes any difference.

The setup looked fine, the top plate was set on the basket different to the rest which is correct, some bikes have a slightly thinner friction plate at the back but no idea if the F3 has one or if its correct without taking the basket out.
Personally with all the problems if I was to take the whole clutch out I would just replace the lot, friction and discs.

If you had the springs out surely it would only have taken a couple of minutes to remove all the plates? Would have made checking the basket for notching easier as well.

The thin rear friction plate on my CBR900RR had broken up into numerous bits which caused enough drag to make gear changes a bit clunky but the drag wasn't noticeable when stopped in gear.
