I changed nothing the first light which is the second image I don’t first and took picture exactly how the old light was wired, however the second light which is the first image the wires must have come loose on taking them down and the black single was dangling there

Who? What was fix?

I'm guessing it was the 2 red wires going into different terminals on the block when they should be joined; so wasn't put back the same way as it was before.

I'd also suggest re-looking at some of those connections, the bare copper exposed on the yellow cable in the first pic is both dangerous and very bad practice.

Whenever I'm replacing light fittings I take the opportunity to upgrade to Wago connectors; worth every penny.

Was the 2 reds. Weird wiring when nothing’s labelled in old wiring. Turns out the neutral went dead in the end must must have been a kink down the line and a surge blew it. Managed to pull some new 3 core through and changed all to wagos. Thanks for help swifty55 deserves a pint from me lol
