as i just forked out a small fortune for a new monitor only about a month ago
Think there only 2 years oldYeah but that thing is like 3 years old already so not like you didn't know it'd be superseded soon
Ok A video from June 2017
Asus are really good like that given people 3.5 years to save up enough cash to be able to buy one of there productsSorry I meant 3.5yrs then

Am already worried am going want to buy this when it gets releasedYeah - but you only need to worry about what was shown in CES 2018 'cause that might be coming out in 2021 (*MIGHT*) .. stuff shown in this year's CES won't be purchasable for another 3 years, so we're good
Yeah almost guaranteed we'll have some (more) VA panels with a refresh rate of 240Hz and a pixel response time of >20ms Because that makes sense!I predict more minor pointless improvements in refresh rate, resolution and possibly edge lit or/and FALD rather than actual improvement in the panels and QC i.e. the monitor market will still be the same as it has been for the last 4/5 years now....
Best announcement would be all monitors announced in previous years becoming available.Anyone excited to see what new monitors are announced?
You forgot monitors aiming to lower hanging fruit DCI-P3 gamut than old AdobeRGB.I predict more minor pointless improvements in refresh rate, resolution and possibly edge lit or/and FALD rather than actual improvement in the panels and QC i.e. the monitor market will still be the same as it has been for the last 4/5 years now....
There's easy solution to that worry:Am already worried am going want to buy this when it gets released

I Fixed it for youYes I'm keeping everything crossed for some decent models, was hoping for a refreshed Dell U3818DW but I don't think Dell is exhibiting.
Hoping for a 38" 3840 x 1600, IPS, DP 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C with DP ALT-MODE, PD 65W or more, KVM switch and 144Hz or more, good build quality, decent warranty length and no nonsense dead pixel exchange.

I be even more happy for a 34" or 35" 3440 x 1440 with them specs
We allowed to dream
Now they just need to announce one that we can cut around 10 to 16 inches of it offLG have announced a 48 inch bendable OLED. Yes, it can be flat or curved.

LOL see my edit as 38" in a 16:9 ratio is still a bit to bigHahaha so true. If they announced a 32 inch variant, or even 38 inch I would buy it in an instant, even if it was £2000.
