Anyone excited to see what new monitors are announced?

I'm hoping for a mini led odyssey g9, hdmi 2.1 monitors and hopefully see how much the pg32uqx will be.

I predict more minor pointless improvements in refresh rate, resolution and possibly edge lit or/and FALD rather than actual improvement in the panels and QC i.e. the monitor market will still be the same as it has been for the last 4/5 years now....

Yeah almost guaranteed we'll have some (more) VA panels with a refresh rate of 240Hz and a pixel response time of >20ms :p Because that makes sense!

Best announcement would be all monitors announced in previous years becoming available.
Anything new they announce now is likely to come out only after next Christmas... in the best case.

You forgot monitors aiming to lower hanging fruit DCI-P3 gamut than old AdobeRGB.
With of course marketing hyping that worser DCI-P3 as some ultimate target...
Just like in case of older 1920x1200 WUXGA vs smaller 1920x1080 FoolsD.

There's easy solution to that worry:
Take stance that you won't be paying from any monopoly monitors.

And prices are no doubt going to be insane, despite of still having crappy LCD tech incapable to true contrast and representing small bright object on dark background without halos.
Pretty certain that money used to polishing turd called LCD would have brought proper flat panel monitors lot closer to consumer availability.

Yes I'm keeping everything crossed for some decent models, was hoping for a refreshed Dell U3818DW but I don't think Dell is exhibiting.

Hoping for a 38" 3840 x 1600, IPS, DP 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C with DP ALT-MODE, PD 65W or more, KVM switch and 144Hz or more, good build quality, decent warranty length and no nonsense dead pixel exchange.

The 3440 x 1440 is my plan b along with a HP USB-C G5 docking station and possibly a USB switch.
