They did announce the cards earlier. To the press. That's where the FSR4 being locked to the new cards and the picture of the AIB ones came from. Everyone just expected....more :p
 
Honestly bizarre keynote from AMD. They teased the 9070XT reference design, partners also teased their cards and even some slides/info was leaked but RDNA4 was nowhere to be seen in the presentation. Not even a demo showing the GPU doing some gameplay like they have done previously, practically just a waste of 40 minutes.
 
Amd come on man. What a train wreck. They clearly chickened out at the very last minute. This was a debacle for them and they probably don't realise it.
