Champions League 16th/17th *Spoilers*

How is it Wenger's fault that Diarra was impatient and Flamini had money bags in his eyes? Not the way I see it

Its Wengers fault because he didnt really replace Flamini and if Flamini had money bags in his eyes then maybe Wenger should have offered him more money to stay along with Hleb...that season when they were both in the squad we went to the CL final so imo they were pretty important players.

But saying that Flamini hasnt done very well at AC Milan...in fact there were rumours around Jan time that Man City might have signed him...unlike Cashely Cole who went to Chelsea and has won a few titles and trophies...Flamini made a pretty bad choice...dont even think he was a starter for AC Milan when he went there.

Anyhow Diaby is now injured with a knee injury according to SSN...so he wont play against Sunderland on the weekend....our injuries keep mounting up by the looks of it:(.

Flamini doesn't even play in midfield when he plays, he plays at RB. Milan are going some way to ruining his career when he seemed to be hitting his peak, confusing. I don't know whether he just wanted to go or whether it was a question of money, but apparently Arsenal offered him £60k which was more than Cesc at the time. Not sure how he can complain at that.

He wanted more game time didn't he?

Well hes not getting any at the moment in AC at the moment..think he made a bad decision going there...should have stayed with Arsenal where he was getting plenty of playing time from what i remember of him.

Cant believe people are moaning about Park after the game against Milan, some people are just blind

Yes ok he's not the most clinical or creative of players but his positioning and workrate against Milan was first class

One of his best games for us this season

I wasn't a huge fan of Park before but I have started to really like him now. He's all over the place and his passing is good.

is there a Europa thread? :p

Is the Liverpool game not on the telly? I want to see them getting beat off Unirea.

Yeah they're using 5 officials(on the pitch) in Europa. I forgot and wondered who the pitch invader was :p

great game as expected so far, matching the Five commentary as usual

2045: Steven Gerrard nicks the ball past Bruno Fernandes and seems to look for the foul, earning the defender a yellow card. Bit harsh. Jan Molby doesn't even think it's a free-kick.

Up to his usual tricks?

Great to see us passing like the Liverpool teams of old.

It's like watching a Houllier team. No penetration and even less creativity.

Still very comfortable and I'd say we'll still win but we really struggle when it's this type of game (i.e the bus parked and the opposition are asking questions).

No thread for Europa games? Or did you get lost and think you're still in the CL? ;)

Above statement is a joke before you all start chiming in..

Stupid question - is it ET and pens tonight?

To be fair, Unirea aren't playing to win, they know they've got very little chance and are parking it. Need a bulldozer to get through that lot.
