Champions League Draw 11:00 Today

Can't see any problem for Arsenal or Chelsea. UTD shouldn't have any problems with AC, however ferguson does have a habit of paying too much respect to teams in europe.

Utd had difficult places to go though - from distance , pitch type, atmosphere points of view

Meh I suppose, but let's face it, teams of Man Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal's standard should never be going out at the group stage. I think I heard a stat that out of the top seeds, only 1 team in the last 10 years has gone out at group stages (make that 2 now with Liverpool I guess)

We had an awful bloody draw compared to the rest of them!

Away trips to Moscow and Istanbul and the best team from the 'useless' team pot who happened to be the Bundersliga Champions.

Inter Milan v CHELSEA
Lyon v Real Madrid
AC Milan v MANCHESTER UNITED
Olympiakos v Bordeaux
FC Porto v ARSENAL
CSKA Moscow v Sevilla
Stuttgart v Barcelona
Bayern Munich v Fiorentina

Ac Milan, hopefully gives us a chance to get one back over them after 2007. And also be good to see Beckham at Old Trafford, he'll get a fantastic reception. Just hope he doesn't score! :p

You're saying the draw is fixed?

I think he means that UEFA will obviously be thinking Barcelona can go on to win it again with that draw, not that they have made it easy for Barcelona to progress.

Incidentally is it possible to work out who would face who in the quarter finals?

I reckon most people would have Barcelona as favourites anyway, I just didn't understand why he said UEFA would think Barcelona would win it.

Well it seems past CL history has proved how hard it is to win it two years running, last team to win it in consecutive years was AC Milan in the late 80s. Man Utd got to a second successive final and were spanked by Barcelona. Juventus reached 3 consecutive finals but only won the first.

Everton haven't got an easy ride there in the Europa League. And Fulham have the possibilty of Juventus in the next round, Roy Hodgson said he wanted Juventus during the week. It could happen for them.
