Champions League group stage Draw

Does anyone think that Mourhinio is right to keep moaning and whining about how unfair it is that they dont get seeded. Personally I think he should quit his bitching. When we won it in 99 we were unseeded, had to go through pre qualification then beat the likes of Bayern, Barca, Inter Milan & Juve. Not to mention a more evenly contested Premier league then as well

If you want to be considered the best then you should beat the best
 
Yes, he is right. The points system is crap. manyoo have done nothing of note for a long time and are ranked above them. Of course, this will change when what happened 5 years ago moves to 6 years ago, but 5 years is a LONG time in football, and that, for me, is too long a time for seeding to be worked out over.

DERRY CITY v Paris St Germain
SPARTA PRAGUE v Hearts
FC Salzburg v BLACKBURN
West Ham v PALERMO
SLAVIA PRAGUE v Tottenham

Teams in caps are seeded, looks like a good chance a british team will win it this year

The ranking system is as good as it's going to get. It's designed to keep the 'big' teams (read G14) at the top, they can have one or two bad seasons and still retain a high ranking.

Mourinho's bitching is tiresome, what the hell difference does it make to him if he's seeded or not? His team is always going to get through the group and finishing first or second is largely irrelevant.

You've dodged the issue. We are not a physical team anymore. We have McManus, Lennon and now VoH but the rest are squirts who'd rather pass it about.

I havnt dodged the issue my abrasive scottish chum, ive said that:

A, you cant compete in a footballing game
B, you are going to have to resort to kicking us about.

It doesnt matter that you have small players who like to pop the ball about, ive just said you are going to get thumped regardless of which way you try and play it.

I think we'll get beat at Old Trafford and hold them to a draw up here.....Outside Pre Season friendlies that no one gives a toss about, Celtic Park is always a hard place to come on European nights no matter WHO it is and as WGS says, the golves are off for this one......I'm looking forward to it but won't be too cocky and say we're going through...

On our day we can play some excellent stuff....Trouble is, we've been having too many off days since the season started :( :D

Tottenham aren't seeded, neither are West Ham. They work seeding out with how each team has done in Europe in the last 5 years...

Though Spurs are 3rd favourites with the bookies to lift the cup.

A sense of jealousy that their in the CL?? You should be "biggin" them up a bit, if their bad, Rangers are worse!

totally agree, the only person he can be annoyeed with for not being there is himself as they would be there if they had done better last year. man utd didn't get through group stage and are still there.
At the end of the day if your the best temam you'll qualify whoever is in your group
