Champions League group stage Draw

There's only one MrG to me, i'll give you a clue who he is; he's suffering from a deflated head atm.

And here's Liverpool's fixture list:
Tuesday 12 Sep 2006
PSV Eindhoven - Liverpool FC
Wednesday 27 Sep 2006
Liverpool FC - Galatasaray SK
Wednesday 18 Oct 2006
FC Girondins de Bordeaux - Liverpool FC
Tuesday 31 Oct 2006
Liverpool FC - FC Girondins de Bordeaux
Wednesday 22 Nov 2006
Liverpool FC - PSV Eindhoven
Tuesday 5 Dec 2006
Galatasaray SK - Liverpool FC

Hopefully we qualified befor the last game. Although i reckon we will beat Galatasaray, i wouldn't want to have to go there needing something.

Fair enough, talk up your team - you're probably right about the results but you really know nothing about Celtic from your comments there.

Celtic aren't really a physical team under Strachan, he likes us to play a passing game. Your players are the ones more likely to be kicking lumps out of ours.

I know enough about Celtic, you wont have a choice BUT to resort to kicking lumps out of us, as you caznt compete in a footballing game.

I'm quite happy with our group. I think we'll finish runner-up with Benfica winning the group. People seem to forget that Benfica beat us last year.

AC Milan appear to have the easiest group. I may just invest a few quid on them to win the tournament outright.

Does anyone remember last season when they lost 0-5 away to some team when qualifying for CL. Then at home they managed to bang in 4 to nil, and should have scored a few more. If they can play like that at home, who knows what might happen.. :o

Possibly. They have bought well and have got a forward who can score at Champions league level.

The difficulty will be adapating tactics to this level and being able to change the pace of the game. If they play at a pace and tempo akin to the SPL then teams will sit back, watch them get frustrated and hit them on the break.

Remember season before last they got to UEFA cup final. Last season was a bit of a write off due to change in manager

I'll wager you £50 right now you don't score a single goal against us home or away.
Lets make it £500. No, 1 million dollars!

You've dodged the issue. We are not a physical team anymore. We have McManus, Lennon and now VoH but the rest are squirts who'd rather pass it about.

I'm not going to make any rash predictions but I'd be very surprised if it's as easy as you think.

Oh dear ....
I got a feeling it`s going to be ugly but Liverpool will just manage to scrape through again.
I got mixed feelings though becuase if we were dumped out of Europe we can concentrate on the Prem. I would gladly sacrifice another European cup for the Premiership.
