Zebina made mistake after mistake all game and Camoranesi was getting heated in the first 20 minutes, it was a mistake not to take both off earlier.

Just the one sub, Reyes for RvP, straight swap.
 
Congrats to Arsenal a fantastic game, great performance from all the players....and what the hell does Mauro Camoranesi think he was doing, looking at Capello's face I would not want to be in his shoes....

I am a liverpool fan but I really do hope this is Arsenal's year...plus keeping it with an English club is fantastic.

The FA never sorted out the farce UEFA did, it was their job to resolve it not the FA's, if the CL winner does not come in the top 4 then the 4th team will loose their place......I know pray Arsenal win the CL and Spurs come 4th

Seems like Benfica are not a pushover at all, it is a shame they never got a goal though, I think Barca will turn them over at the camp.
 
Absolute quality :D. Yes Juventus were pretty poor but i believe a large portion of that was down to our athletism across the whole park and dare i say it resoluteness at the back. We closed down so quickly they didn't know what to do. Completely at a loss. Don't forget Trez is current top scorer in the champs league and the Italian league, he is far from poor but didn't get a look in. Toure MoM for me closely followed by Eboue. In the first half i though Hleb was back to his old tricks but he did redeem himself a bit in the second half. He was our worst player really though.

Was superb when Henry skinned Vieira at the end :D. I think we've put ourselves in a massive advantage for the second leg and a solitary goal from us will seal passage to the semis.
 
Absolutely great performance from Arsenal, it’s hard to be so bitter with them if they keep on playing like this and deservedly winning. Well done. Juve just didn’t look bothered at all and that’s what really got me miffed. The sending offs and Camorenesi's gesture was just the icing on the cake. Lack of respect for the game.

I just cant see juve getting the goals at home either, I just don’t know what’s wrong with them. They will have to play better than they have all season to pull it off and that’s only if Arsenal are below par. I want Juve to go through but not on that kind of disappointing, un-respectful and disgusting performance they gave today.

With Del Piero and Nedved back with a rejig of the positions its possible. Ibrahimovic needs to score more and they need to tighten up the back. Zambie and Canavaro were the only two players that played well tonight for Juve, the others need to learn from what commitment is from them.

True.
But Zebina isnt a first team regular, and Blasi is better anyway.
Camoranesi was a little wild all game, but DelPiero in the same position would do better anyway imo. The form he's been on lately.
Viera would be missed normally, but having Nedved as a replacement isnt exactely the end of the world is it? :p

The commentary said Toure only made his prem debut 6 weeks ago,is that right? He was outstanding tonight,looked like he'd been there for years

I know I felt that some of the free kicks should have been taken advantage of. Saying that you need a special free kick against Buffon!

but I got to say the last 3 performances have been nothing short of sensational, made even more so by the age of some of there players.

The back four were immense Toure what a player he is at the back more important to arsenal at the moment than Campbell, Eboue and Flamini were excellent and senderos has come on leaps and bounds this season.

TBH I think on this performance Lauren / Campbell and Cole may have a problem getting back into the team.

In the middle of the park, Fabregas is nothing short of brilliant, he can tackle, , he has the engine to run all day and he can split the defence with his short sharp passing. Hleb, looks a touch off the boil of the others but he has the talent to be fantastic and has improved throughout the season. Pires although getting on played everything simple, did hardly anything wrong and shut Vieira out of the game. Gilberto, superb. Reyes / Henry again were superb the runs they make and ability they have is without question.

I once said Henry never turns up for the big games.

I retract that statement wholeheartedly this season he has not only turned up but controlled, ran and won the big games. simply irresisteble.

watch out chelsea next season, 1-2 new signings and with this season experience onboard Arsenal will be a whole different ball game next year.
