Champions League Spoilers 7th/8th March

"This season we played one hour in the first leg with 10 men, but if Barca are in the next round they must be the better team.

"They are a great squad and I wish them luck.

I was expecting a bit more from chelsea last night. They just didn't seem to me to have that team spirit/will to win i've seem them take strength from in other matches.

Could be a bad week for english football in the champions league. I'm really pessimistic about Liverpools hopes at least arsenal have a good chance.
 
My Dark cloud of doom is slowing lifting. I am proper Gutted.
Fortunetly having supported Chelsea for so long i am used to losing. When i first supported them they were in the second division and were only known for Racism and Violence. We had a great away firm and travelled real well. ;)
Its been nice to see there rise of course but all this anti Chelsea chat by English dudes leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I will leave this thread wishing the English teams still in the Best of Luck. I Will transfer my support as i always do and remain Loyal to MY country.
Shame on you who Don't.
 
Hmmm watched the game last night and was quite happy that Chelsea were knocked out. That goal by Ronaldinho was nothing short of amazing imho, was saying to my mates last night that chelsea giving him too much room to pass and do his thing. Was funny how he just bounced off Terry to smack that goal in.
As for the penalty??, no way was that a penalty so Chelsea got lucky but wasnt meant to be their night i suppose. But well played by Barca and Chelsea.

Now hoping that Arsenal can finish off Madrid tonight to book their place in the QF's :D.

AND I JUST LOVED IT WHEN CHELSEA WENT OUT LAST NIGHT COME ON LIVERPOOL AND ARSENAL. 2-0 TO LIVERPOOL TONIGHT AND ARSENAL WILL GET A COUPLE OF GOALS AND GO THROUGH SAME WITH LIVERPOOL COME ON GERRARD AND CO
 
Wow, what a really exciting game that wasn't. At least Ronny provided some entertainment.

I can't say I'm devastated that Chelsea are out but it would have been nice to see them go through along with Rangers. I always support the British teams in Europe because I want us to keep the four CL places we have. It's also nice to have an English team win the CL.

I’m also getting a bit bored of the constant - insert current most successful English football club here - gang banging that takes place in the papers and this forum.

How can you want Arsenal to go through, is it because they're English?:)
 
Can't say im dissapointed about last night (call me selfish but i like to see Arsenal doing better than any other English team) but i am surprised in the way Chelsea went about the game. The tactic obviously wasn't working and bringing on 2 subs to play exactly the same way seemed pointless as nothing was being created. Huth up front in the final few minutes was just depseration. Yes Barca kept the ball well but Chelsea weren't offensive enough when they had it.

Was expecting some BS from JM at the end there and he didn't dissapoint. He really is an arse and does Chelsea's PR no good whatsoever.
 
I think its shocking that fans of other English clubs wanted Chelsea to lose.
I see that attitude from people i know, and by the looks of it, some people on here. Shocking really.
Even if you are rivals to a team domestically, you should support them in Europe until they come up against your own team (should that happen).

I thought the Chelsea vs Barca game was one of the most boring ive seen in ages.
And whats with Ronaldinho getting all the plaudits?
He does 100 tricks a game, and only 5 at most help him or his team progress. But people only see them as 'being good'. No, thats being skillfull. Being good is pulling off the tricks and each one benefitting the team. Ive only seen 2 players that can pull of tricks that help the team everytime. /rant.

I agree that on ocasions he does a flick/trcik when he could just play a normal pass, but you have to admit that its nice to see.
Out of interest who are the 2 players? I hope and think Kaka will be 1 but can't think of a 2nd.

I wouldn't say Kaka's tricks work out for the benefit of the team 100% of the time.

Zidane would probably have been in that top echelon at one time.
