Championship Play-Off Thread

Cardiff have had a nightmare. They have been shocking, haven't even been able to deal with a straight ball through the middle. Terrible performance.
 
I'd like to say I'm sorry, but at least I can go to the final without fear of death :p
 
An all Welsh final would have been one hell of a atmosphere, but Cardiff really didn't deserve it after the last few games they have played.
God only knows how they could have policed an all Welsh final though.
 
According to some of the boys (in the police), it would have been a "bubble game".

Both teams escorted by coach, on different routes, one on the motorways and one on the A roads.. Taken all the way to the stadium and segregated as per the usual affair. It would take at least 5hrs by coach for me doing that, plus the obvious violence and taunting would be too much for the die hards.. I'm guessing they'd have to roll out the TSG and possibly the horses lol

Anyway, is Bellamy going back to Man City now? :p
 
Cardiff fans didn't do themselves any favours tonight, throwing things on to the pitch, they've not exactly got a good reputation as it is.

I had heard it would have been "official" coaches only.

As it stands I'm not going, still recovering from Monday.:o
 
Cardiff were really shocking tonight, conceded two poor goals and seemed to throw the towel in. Their fans throwing objects onto the pitch won't win them much sympathy though.

Shane Long of Reading made a nice gesture at the end giving his shirt to a disabled fan.
 
where would they have got 1500 coaches from? part of me wanted cardiff to win just to see what would have happened but i'm more than happy with reading....can now enjoy the day without the added stress and i reckon we're too good for them!:D
 
Swansea beat Reading 1-0 in both their meetings this season and ended up two places above them. I'll hope for a reversal but expect the form (Reading, like Cardiff, have recent history of falling at the final hurdle).
 
Swansea are an excellent side, but I fancy Reading to pinch it. I don't mind now really - at least if Swansea go up we were beat by the promoted side, but I'd prefer Reading just 'cos.
 
very pleased with both results as i can't stand Forest and really can't stand baadif, my ideal scenario would have been Swansea to beat Cardiff in the final as that would hurt so much more for them but this will do.

At least Forest didn't get their suits made for the final this time eh :D

Always had a lot of time for Swansea ever since Leon Britton took us apart on his own pretty much at Ahston Gate in the league cup years ago, they've played decent football for much longer than most give them credit for. Never had any hassle from the Swans fans unlike their neanderthal cousins from just over the bridge.
