Just to refresh for people who do not bother reading previous posts:
1. Research finds that 195 million PCs capable of gaming were sold between 2005-2010. TO add to that 80-100 million graphics cards are sold every year. TO add to that Nvidia stated that they "have 180 million active geforce users".
2. This pure data allowed for research to conclude that there are 80-200 million gaming PCs worldwide.
3. This compares to 23 million Xbox360 and 17 million PS3 user base (official numbers for 2010).
But lets hear stories about mothers friends burning DVDs for friends with consoles and how one console is much much much more while the other is much less - this is much much much better way of arguing.
