cheap M3, whats the worst..

Nothing interesting has happen in the past couple weeks, Ive just been driving/enjoying it.

Due to life getting in the way Ive not been able to tinker at all, but I have set the next set of goals as lambdas and lights.

Going back to the original orange indicators front and back and oe headlights "delensed" and with HIDs.

The last set of tweaks included the new MAF. Aside from additional firepower it has made a difference to the fuel consumption.

The cumulative average has risen from 23.8 to 25.2

The average since the new MAF was fitted changes between high 27s to low 28s. Not a bad "combined" figure imo

I'm averaging around 24 at the moment so it would seem everything is running ok, I do have a very slightly uneven idle from cold though, seems to just rise and fall a few 100 rpm for a few minutes, could be normal never experienced one before.

Next thing on to do list is the clunking over uneven surfaces, feels like it could be ARB related.

Mine can be a bit inconsistent. Some mornings you start it and it acts like I didn't do a cold idle prog at all, the revs sit bang on 700 the moment you start it. The next morning it will idle at 1100 to 1200 for the first couple minutes. No rhyme or reason to it

What sort of money are really nice, clean e36 M3s going for at the moment?

Very rare, i regret selling my one as it was a perfect usable example, sensible genuine miles (110k) in estoril blue with motorsports and silver leather, all history etc, spotless paint.

I been looking for another but they just dont come up. A def up and coming collectors car and appreciating in value, for reference i sold it for £4500 i think. Cheap car, should have kept it and just parked it up

one last thing, anyone know what this module is?

found it disconnected when i sorted out the intake system. obviously something redundant after the engine swap but id like to know what it is

Does it still have a charcoal canister to vent the fumes out the tank through the inlet? Looks like the control solenoid for that to me! Most get thrown away/disconnected along the way.

if thats the case, the evap/charcol cansiter line is still connected to my plenum

i might blank that off now

as for the car, i want to check the MOT slip and see how many miles ive done.

ive carried out no work, just driven it. it has been flawless and an absolute hoot
