Cheating

firstly i think it depends on what you class as cheating
there's a bit of a difference between a drunken snog with the wrong girl, and being up all night nailing her to the wall
the first may be forgivable, the second is probably never
and secondly, might it happen again?
if the answer to that is yes,
you need to tell her, and maybe you need to end it
becuase that is not a fair basis for a relationship

i cheated on a bf
i had fallen out of love with him months ago, and fell in love with someone else
i feel guilty and sorry - but i wouldn't have changed what happened
my 'partner in crime' has been my bf for the last three months, and he means more to me than anyone before ever has
would i cheat on him? no, never
he is everything i could ask for, or could ever have dreamed of, and i would never want to jeopardise that

I am in the camp that if someone could cheat once, they can cheat again. Considering I had the unpleasant experience of knowing someone who cheats without the guilt. From what you described, sounds like if you fallen out of love with this current guy you probably will cheat on him.

I have lost all faith in the male species just from the above post.

Glad I could help. :D

Seriously women aren't much better. The amount of women who I've met and *ahem* on nights out who have been seeing someone, engaged and even married is shocking

Relationships should be banned until you're 28 anyway, would makes things a lot easier and fun then :)

I know i believe in the not cheating thing, but just having a thought.

Since our perception and morality comes from our surroundings and social backgrounds. If we were living in a society that doesn't see cheating as a sin, we would be having multiple partners, just like some 3rd world countries.

Anyone can cheat, and most people do at one point or another, kind of understandable seeing as we are not even genetically designed to be in long term relationships.

Women are, men aren't. FACT

Exactly, just like when people say "sex without being in love is wrong", it's just what you have been led to believe.

People between the ages of 18-25 are living a much hedoistic lifestyle than previous generations. I'd say some of the biggest jumps in what is now socially acceptable behaviour has happened within the last 5 years. (with regards to socialising and relationships).

My boss was saying to me the other day that at my age, he was married with 2 kids and a mortgage! That's early 20's by the way. And that was the norm really.

I was interviewing someone last week for a job and she was my age and had just got married which came as a big suprise to me, she even said so herself :p It's just too young imo.

You're only young once, enjoy yourself and don't get tied down until you're sure of it and done everything that you wanted to do :)

^ My current way of thinking. I got a little too comfortable with random girl at a party the other night, but still felt guilty. Although it made me beg the question, am I going to stay with my current gf for the rest of my life? No.
If I did, would I regret not having had sex with more women? Yes.

Hey, my girlfriend (now 'ex' i guess) just told me today that she'd cheated on me - it's like a big hug, those four words "i cheated on you" life can't get much better :D And now we're supposedly 'on a break' while she sorts her head out.

Funny thing is really i turned down a girl i had liked for ages just the other day and felt really guilty about even telling her, plucked up the courage to tell her and BAM! It's kind of ironic really.

I'm not unnattractive - well i say that... and am a funny guy...

I guess it must be the gingerness :( really pee'd off - got any idea's of how to let off my anger and frustration?

I'm beginning to be of this view.

Even my own mum's been telling me i'm getting too settled with my gf, and that i'm only young once

Call the girl you turned down. Maybe best to leave it a week or so though.

lol i know, exactly what my friends said. I trusted her as a girlfriend and a friend - the lying hurts me most, i don't care about what actually happened just the fact she only told me today and it happened a week ago. :( o well ce la vie

Gutted mate :( Beer, mates & women is what you need ;)

See it's not just the men. My first ever girlfriend ages ago did that to me (although I had cheated on her sooo many times :o), still hurt though... probably why I have the mentality I have today.

Fool me once and all that :)
