I've gone into PC repairs and services recently. I'm just trying the market for a year to see how things go so needed somewhere to practice which was cheap. So after carefull consideration I decided to build a workshop in my garden albeit on a temporary basis.

I started work back in November and I have recently completed all the work and it's now fully operational:

I had to say good bye to my coy pond :( > this mad sense as the it took a lot of looking after and wife little huddy on the way, it was too dangerous to keep anyway.

This is the area where the pond was. I didnt take any pictures before but the pond was 4.5 feet at it's deepest. It took a whole day to empty the pond and get the fish out. It only took one day to fill in.

The back is where the work shop is going to go, so unfortunatly a few trees had to go as well. I got someone in to take out the trees but they left me a tree stump only days before the concret base was to be laid. The workshop was arriving in 3 days!! Aneka Rice-- move over :D

I spent a day trying to get this out. You can see by the picture I've had good go but I had to get someone in. I managed to find someone with a Stumpgrinder just in time. Once done, the base was in and had a few days to settle before the shed was errected....

Ok,ok so it's just a shed. But it's 13" by 7" but it's larger than it looks....

Come and have a look inside...

Just a typical looking shed yeah...

Look at it now...

Fully operational, internet access, phone point, plenty of power sockets, alarm, Fire precautions :) and a few pictures of the master boxer himself.

So, what do you think?

Very nice Huddy. Im slightly jelous of that. Although id fill it with miling machines and other toys. Bet it won't stay that tidy for very long. Congratulations on the new sproglett btw. :)

Holy cow, you're hired.

Btw, whats insulation like, apart from it being cold Id imagine frosty weather wouldn't be too good for electrical equipment.

Also, how safe is it? I'd quite like a shed PC workroom, rather then an office in the house, but sheds are kinda easy to break into..

Very nice little workplace you have there, however do you store the computer equipment in it because it doesn't look all that secure?

Looks excellent.

Bet you need that heater in there though.

surprisingly no, Those lights give off quite a bit of heat after a few minutes and the PC which is on 24/7. The walls and ceiling are insulated so the heat stays in. The heater is on for normally no more than 5 - 10 minutes.. After that, it's like toast.. warmer then my PC desk in the house which always seems to be cold.

it has steal bolts going around inside the cavity.. It's fully alarmed as well. Yes, you could break in but no different to my house really.

The insurance company are happy enough with it. :) the only additional thing they have asked for is steal bars on the windows which i've yet to do.

Hmm, I'd actually love something like that so I could escape from the wife and kids! :D

That does look very good though, I don't suppose you'd be able to give an estimate of what it cost you to set up?

Very nice! Great work Huddy :) Got any more pics?

Going to be horrible working in there in the summer. Very hot and humid.

Know what you mean, when I was doing editing for a guy his office was similar, but when he turned on the AC it got freezing!

I seem to remember my old boss doing this, he had to get planning permission for it as it was to be used as a place of business.
