Check out these driving shoes

Driving shoes???

I can drive in my rockports fine. (no i'm not a chav).

I can't drive properly in my nike tn's. It just doesn't feel right, the trainers are too squidgy and wide!!!

As for wearing slippers........wtf!! :D

I'm a size 10 btw if that makes any difference

The problem im having with shoes and driving is the wearing im getting down the sides some how
I have a nice black mark up the instep of my right driving shoe, from where the edge of the brake pedal rests against it when the foot is on the throttle.

Puma Speedcats

Adidas Delta-X are great for driving in, or the similar Adidas TKD2000. Plus you won't look like a loser, which is a bonus.

I used to wear shoes for driving in so don't give him too hard a time for it.

Although thats because I wore boots to work, I just kept a pair of trainers in the car (Boots were so big I would mash several pedals at once quite often).

Now I drive in what I have on which is usually a huge pair of Airwalk or some Vans.

Driving bare foot is quite interesting because when you don't have shoes on bits of your foot bend instead of the pedals going down...

Not over 'ere it's not, assuming you meant 'illegal'.

It is over here. Even driving in flip flops is illegal.

But we can eat an apple if when we drive :)

Well I got caught by a large wave so my shoes and socks were soaked.

Its not like I was drunk driving or anything, why does the government get to tell me what shoes to wear?

Agreed. My Reebok Classics are awesome to drive in. Very very comfy and can feel every bit of feedback through the pedals.

And my pair like these:

He drives in slippers and people call ME old? :p

You have a point :p ;) .

Lately i've been driving in my Para boots. Did 400 miles in them a week or two ago, it was hmm, strange.

Lonsdale make some shoes based on their boxing boots..

They are perfect for driving in, just like racing boots but in a shoe...

I too drive in slippers a lot, but moccasins with a plastic sole...

I find thin soled shoes give you a better feel of the pedals as well

:p
